You could print to a stream, I believe StringIO, that can be captured by the rest and verify the results or from contextlib import redirect_stdout with io.StringIO() as buf, redirect_stdout(buf): print('redirected') output = buf.getvalue() More on reddit.com

How do you print to console and why is it so hard to do?
stdout is buffered by default with flask, either set the PYTHONUNBUFFERED environmental variable or I think print(foo, flush=True) works as well using logger in place of print is what you should be doing anyways as it captures to a log for debugging later. logger.info() works as well Speed, print is slow More on reddit.com
