For people that like to make up words do you use a website/app to find a way to pronounce them right?
I mean, English orthography sucks so much in regards to pronunciation correlation that you have quite some freedom regarding correct pronunciation. And realistically, both in and out of universe people will still pronounce your words differently in different regions and social groups. If some pronounciation is important to me, I just write it in IPA symbols on a phonemic level. More on reddit.com
Getting NLM to pronounce words correctly
Ugh. No, I have not. I have uploaded sources that explain it but they don’t get it. I’d really appreciate an in-painting option like Udio has to correct the mispronounced words. They have particular problems with names. If it were a human, you’d tell them the correct way and they’d learn it but not NLM yet. I’ve found it’s consistent in that it does it in other languages too. But that’s no help. If anyone knows of a way, then please share! More on reddit.com

So I basically just want to know if there’s an app/website that you know that can pronounce made up worlds. Like this name here “Shamól”. I don’t know how to pronounce it correctly because of speaking difficulties. So I’m wondering if there’s a website or something you guys use to know how to pronounce made up words correctly.

I generally create my words based on how I say them. So I’ll speak out the word I want to create, and then generate the spelling of the word based on how it sounds.

Have any of you found an efficient way to teach the audio overview hosts to pronounce words correctly? I find that even when I tell them the origin of the word, use phonetic spelling, tell them what it rhymes with, etc. they will pronounce it in all ways but the one I’m going for. It takes numerous iterations before I get lucky with a correct pronunciation.

Nope, I even tried to correct them using the 'join' function to butt into a podcast - the 'hosts' thanked me for the correction but didn't correct themselves !
