Where can I get PS form 2976-R?
Who is required to file ps form 2976 r?
What is the purpose of ps form 2976 r?
I've started selling and sending a lot of my product over seas. To the EU and UK to be specific.
When you buy postage online, which includes the customs declaration bits on the main label, they no longer give you all the copies that used to go in the clear pouch on the back (ie dispatch notice, P.O. copy etc)
Are those extra copies still required to be attached for shipping from the US into the EU and UK?
Thanks!
Am I correct in understanding the NEW custom form ps 2976-R is ALL that is needed when sending a Priority Mail Express International? As clerks enter the info in the RSS system, the system then prints out the bar codes AND a label which becomes the new 2976-B?
From the website: PS Form 2976-R, USPS Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note, is a multi-ply, nonbarcoded hard copy customs declaration form and worksheet for use in Postal Service retail locations. Beginning August 28, 2016, we will use PS Form 2976-R to replace the following hard copy customs declaration forms: PS Form 2976, Customs Declaration CN 22 — Sender’s Declaration; PS Form 2976-A, Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note — CP 72; and PS Form 2976-B, Priority Mail Express International Shipping Label and Customs Form. A customer will fill out PS Form 2976-R and provide the handwritten form and the package to an employee at a Postal Service retail service counter, and the employee will then enter the data into Retail Systems Software (RSS) or Customs Form Online and print out the correct customs form and postage. The reason I ask, I processed such a package a few weeks back. It seemed seamless, easy and the RSS system pretty much walks you through the process. I used 2976-R and affixed appropriate bar codes and label to the package. Everything looked and felt good. There was nothing to cause me to question anything. A few days down the road the customer was looking for the package. The Postmaster was investigating it and even had to call the home-office to question if I did it right. THEY told her I needed to include a hard copy 2976-B because the tracking provided on the custom form IS NOT A TRACKING NUMBER and when they enter that number in nothing shows up? I should have included a PS2976-B as well. According to everything I researched I did it right. The RSS system NEVER prompted me to scan in a 2976-B; it prints out that label and becomes the new 2976-B correct? The PM is totally confused and wiped her hands of it and told me continue to research it. According to what they are telling her we did it wrong but they can't tell me exactly what I did wrong?
We don't do a lot of these out of our office so I'm itching to do another just so I can verify. Anyone else have much experience with these and the NEW 2976-R forms? I'm talking about International Express only.
