I went to GameStop today to trade in my PS4 controller. It's fully working with no issues with the thumbsticks or buttons and it also has the sticker on the back (it's a little worn from using it constantly but numbers are all visible and readable) but they said they're unable to take it due to a new rule that there needs to be a serial number. When the associate showed me where it was supposed to be, he said that there was never a number there to begin with and they wouldn't be able to take it.
They never even tested out the controller or anything and I don't see why the SN should matter if my controller never had one in the first place according to the associate. Can anyone working at GameStop vouch for this policy ?
