I've seen the prices for US & Europe but nothing for Canada yet. Anyone got the scoop?

Bought PS5 disc version and 2 games because they are on sale right now on amazon. Is it worth it or there are better deals out there?

PS5 is now about $550 (down from $650) plus the HST (I'm in Ontario so that is another $71). Should I buy it now or wait for Boxing day? I'm wondering if there will be discounts at the time and the GST holiday in place as well. I'm curious if in the last two years, how different were the Black Friday PS5 deals vs the Boxing Day PS5 deals?

i’m finally ready to upgrade from my old ps4 and i’ve been checking out ps5 bundles. i want something that includes a couple of games or maybe an extra controller but i’m not really sure which bundles are worth it or if i should just buy the console alone.

for those who bought a ps5 recently did you go for a bundle or just the console? were the bundles actually worth the extra money or did it feel like you were paying more for stuff you didn’t really need? also how do you find bundles that are actually in stock without paying crazy prices?

and for people who upgraded from ps4 how big of a difference did it feel like in terms of performance and game selection? i’m hoping it feels like a real step up and not just a minor upgrade. would love to hear any tips or experiences before i pull the trigger.

Right now for black Friday the PS5 is on sale for $550 but just recently in Canada Justin Trudeau has announce that starting December 14 purchases on goods will be tax free. For $550 plus the 13% tax it will cost $621.5 but if I get it on December 14 for the retail price it will cost just 650 with no tax added, it will just be $29 dollar more expensive then if I were to get it during the black Friday sale. Will there be a chance that the PS5 will go on sale again during boxing day so I can take advantage of the no tax.

Up to a few minutes ago the pro was 829.96 on Amazon, I had to run an errand, came back to it and price is back to normal. Even camelcamelcamel and honey picked up the lower price. Any ideas if it is too early for it in Canada?

With GTA VI coming out in may I wanted to upgrade my base PS5 for a pro (I know it’s also coming out on the base model but I want the best possible experience on release), will any place (Costco, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, etc.) have any deal during Black Friday season, doesn’t have to be a massive discount but just the best one I can get up until GTAs release, especially with talk of price hikes. I was gonna trade in or sell my base ps5 depending on how much I can get in return. Ig it’s kind of dumb asking this now but based on previous years would it be likely. If not what would be the best time to upgrade. (Probably should’ve done it during the tax break atp)

looking for the best ps5 console black friday deals this year. most stores seem to have limited stock and random bundles, so wondering if anyone has spotted legit discounts or a solid console only deal. figured we could share what we find so everyone has a shot before they sell out.

I'm going to be upgrading from the slim to the pro before GTA 6 and give my old one to my cousin or sell it on marketplace. I see the pro is $70 CAD off. Is it expected to be cheaper around Xmas, or not at any significantly greater discount then?

I just graduated recently and started working (finally able to justify buying a console 😅). I’ve been planning to get a PS5 around Black Friday, but I just got an email from PlayStation for a Back to School offer — $125 off a new PS5 console (direct from PlayStation, invite-only) valid until October 27.

The prices right now are: • PS5 Disc (1TB) – $549.99 • PS5 Digital (825GB) – $499

So with the discount, it comes down to about $425 for the Disc or $374 for the Digital.

I was originally going to wait for Black Friday deals, but now I’m wondering if this is already as good as it gets. I’m not in a huge rush, but I’d love to start playing soon, especially since I’ve been holding off for months.

For anyone who follows PS5 pricing trends — do you think it’s worth taking this offer, or should I hold out a few more weeks for possible bundle or deeper Black Friday discounts?

been checking a few sites today and it feels like most of the ps5 stuff is either the same price as usual or just bundled with random games. kinda hoping for a real discount this year. has anyone spotted any actual good deals or is it all just hype again?
