Stealing this comment from elsewhere, so people ought to be aware: Reminder Galaxy Collection (Galactic Purple, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue) and anything newer (Deep Earth collection) is guaranteed to be latest revision of controller. For others, check that the FCC ID (on the back of the controller) ends with the letter A and not number 1. A recommendation to everyone. It's just safer to buy one of the newer colors in the collection as those are less prone to stick drift and they are still bad white, cosmic red & midnight black dualsenses out there in stores. The Galaxy Collection, new red & blue should be fine. Edit: to any follow-up questions, I probably don't know the answer. I'm just regurgitating this info from a wario64 post. More on reddit.com

$50 USD is my maximum. I'm from the USA, and it's needed for a Windows laptop.
I just need a controller that works and won't break down as soon as I buy it. Extra programmable buttons would be awesome.
I'm really only wanting it for Path of Titans, because keyboard and mouse isn't really doing it for me with that game. I'm sure I'd use it for other casual games though. I don't have a particular preference for any shape of controller.
Specific model recommendations would be great, since I'm not familiar with many brands or anything like that. I'm not really a gamer, I just dabble in a few games in my free time.
