Hey everyone!

Going to be buying a new king sized mattress soon. Do you guys have any recommendations/thoughts about the Purple or Casper Mattresses or any of the other newer brands of mattresses?

I really want to get a purple, but I cant tell if the grid technology they use is comfy or not. Any feedback?

Not sure if you've made a decision yet but I recently bought the Purple 4 and have been sleeping on it for about three weeks now. I absolutely love it. I'm a side and back sleeper, and one thing I noticed is that I can sleep on my side without having to wrestle with my own arm to get it in a comfortable position beneath me. The bed kind of conforms to accommodate my bottom arm and shoulder while still being supportive where I need it. As other users have said, it's an interesting feeling--like sleeping on a grid of gel. There's an almost waterbed-like feel to it, if waterbeds were way less wobbly and way more supportive.

ive heard the most about helix. when people talk about purple they always say its the most unique feeling sleep of any mattress they've tried but its hard to say if thats a good thing. after doing my research i'm leaning towards helix or tuft and needle but i like that helix you can customize your mattress, going for soft/med soft and low temp sleep if i customize a helix

I went with dreamcloud. Very firm sleeps cool, and you have a year to try it. You also have a lifetime warranty with dreamcloud which was the selling point honestly, it was one of the only ones in my price range that had that.

I know it’s highly dependent so reviews put me off any one I look up lol I don’t really want to go to a mattress store and have people hound me, and I would like to get from Costco for the returns. But I also know Costco has different versions of the mattress.

I actually do have the temperpedic from there now but am returning because it’s firm and way too firm, plus I can’t use a mattress topper like I thought I might because it’s so thick like how can you find sheets over that and a topper??

I’m tempted to try something different like saatva but then I wouldn’t feel safe in being able to return without a fee. I could just go with temperpedic medium but I kind of want to try something else especially if I could save $1000…

Purple and Casper are both sold in physical mattress stores so you can feel them and check them out. You can still buy them elsewhere if you just want to check them out in the physical stores.

I went to physical stores and laid on a bunch of mattresses and then bought the equivalent from Costco for MUCH cheaper
