Codesmith has a highly rated in person campus in NYC. they also have in person events in NY so you can have a preview of the community. whats your degree and professional background? Flatiron is very much a corporatized mill at this point, last sold off by wework to a private equity firm. I agree with u/WhoDoo555 that a CS degree is the best choice. If that's not an option then you should build something based on your knowledge obtained from a book, tutorial and/or a bootcamp. I'm not aware of any specific bootcamps. Choose some good resources and just code as much as you can. At some point it wouldn't hurt to learn some CS concepts and even data structures and algorithms. Hi everyone!
I’m hoping to take a class in Python and/or SQL. My job offers some educational reimbursement as long as the course is instructor-led.
I learn better in person, so I figured I would ask here— searching online has only led me to ads for bootcamps or “just use YouTube.”
Ideal solution is a once-per-week evening course, but I’m open to anything you suggest! I would consider an evening/weekend bootcamp if you strongly recommend one of those.
I work near Chelsea and live in Astoria, so would prefer to stay somewhere between/near those if possible.
