Python for Engineers and Scientists
Fun timing I'm learning a lot of that myself at the moment for work, with a lot of pandas and grafana setup. I'm a test engineer and I've been building the automated report and analysis stuff to go along with the 'day' job. Thanks for the course More on reddit.com

Why Engineers Should Learn Python
Its amazing how we do 20x the calculations on a standard building compared to our MEP or civil counterparts, don’t get paid more for it, AND now you also have to be a software dev More on reddit.com

People also ask

How much time should I plan for the Python for Scientists & Engineers course?
The lecture videos are roughly 1 hour per module, but people usually watch them twice. You should plan an extra 2 to 4 hours for the exercises and if you booked the blended learning option which is another 2 hours per module. In total that equates to 5 to 8 hours per module

Python for Scientists and Engineers
Do I need programming experience to take the Python for Scientists & Engineers course?
While it is not necessary to have prior experience, it definitely helps. For example, people with a MATLAB background have historically had an easier time taking the course than absolute beginners. However, as long as you plan in extra time this course will get you from 0 to a level where you feel confident to handle your scientific data.

r/Python on Reddit: Python for Engineers and Scientists
March 9, 2025 -

Hi folks,

About 6 months ago I made a course on Python aimed at engineers and scientists. Lots of people from this community gave me feedback, and I'm grateful for that. Fast forward and over 5000 people enrolled in the course and the reviews have averaged 4.5/5, which I'm really pleased with. But the best thing about releasing this course has been the feedback I've received from people saying that they have found it really useful for their careers or studies.

I'm pivoting my focus towards my simulation course now. So if you would like to take the Python course, you can now do so for free: https://www.udemy.com/course/python-for-engineers-scientists-and-analysts/?couponCode=233342CECD7E69C668EE

If you find it useful, I'd be grateful if you could leave me a review on Udemy.

And if you have any really scathing feedback I'd be grateful for a DM so I can try to fix it quickly and quietly!

Cheers,

Harry
