Throughout the book we'll take an example open source Python web application through a complete deployment on a virtual private server. You're knee deep in learning the Python programming language. The syntax is starting to make sense. Now you want to take your initial Python knowledge and make something real. What is a good book to read to learn full stack web development?
Not a book. Look at either The Odin Project or freeCodeCamp. You are not going to find a single book that discusses every element inside a stack, it's too big (these courses do not exhaust it either obviously). I do mean it - full-stack developer is a bit of a buzzword. You certainly can learn one layer inside a stack and be good at it. You might learn two too. You will at best however merely scratch the surface of remaining two. What I mean by this? Actual full-stack consists of 4 layers: website design (from visual perspective, I am talking user interfaces and experience) front-end logic (primarily javascript) back-end infrastructure (system on which this application is running, backups etc) If you just want to build a smaller website from scratch then resources I have listed at the top will suffice and I guess you will be able to call yourself a "full stack developer". But it won't change the fact it's a buzzword and you will eventually specialize down the road and need to cut corners in other places. After all every one of these layers has enough demand and depth to do nothing but it and it's specialists who are paid the most, not full-stackers. More on reddit.com

If you're new to web development and django, I would absolutely not recommend STARTING with the official tutorial. I would go through Tango with Django first. It assumes that you know less and really helped me early on when I was confused by the official tutorials. Of course, if you're an experienced programmer/developer go straight to the official site.
