Use int(x, base) with 16 as base to convert the string x to an integer. Call hex(number) with the integer as number to convert it to hexadecimal.

hex_value = hex(an_integer)

To be clear: do you want the actual bytes that would be in the file? Then .encode. Do you want a string of hex representing those bytes to make it easier for a human looking at the string to know the byte values? Then encode then hexlify.

If you don't like the 0x in the beginning, replace the last line with
print hex(new_int)[2:]

Instead you could directly do
print hex(int("0xAD4", 16) + 0x200) # 0xcd4

I am using Python 2.7.15 I am wondering how I could convert 4-digit HEX numbers to string, e.g., 0x4865 0x6c6c 0x6f20 0x6d79 0x206e 0x616d 0x6520 0x6973 0x2065 0x7269 0x63672f 0x64 to string which should print "Hello my name is Ericord"
If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it! Iโm aware thereโs commands such as โ โ.decode(โhexโ), however I need to be able to take a list of hex numbers such as the above (with the 0x).
