Installing Python Requests - Stack Overflow
pip install requests
visit this link: https://datatofish.com/add-python-to-windows-path/
this will tell you how to add python to a path on windows so that you can access python from anywhere on the system.
if you need to use pip to install request:
python -m pip install requests
but before you run that command you have to make sure you are in pip folder,
which generally looks something like this:
c:\users\administrator\appdata\local\programs\python\python37\lib\site-packages\pip
The python path I think is not selected. Try reinstalling python and do this: solve python path
or this: solve python path
Check out this link: 'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command
Idk how to install it
You can specify a Python version for pip to use:
pip3.4 install requests
Python 3.4 has pip support built-in, so you can also use:
python3.4 -m pip install
If you're running Ubuntu (or probably Debian as well), you'll need to install the system pip3 separately:
sudo apt-get install python3-pip
This will install the pip3 executable, so you can use it, as well as the earlier mentioned python3.4 -m pip:
pip3 install requests
On Windows with Python v3.6.5
py -m pip install requests
You are trying to install the package in '/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/requests' but it requires root permissions to do so. This should do the trick:
$ sudo pip install requests
try this:
pip install --user requests
(that's as it's written, you don't have to substitute anything in)
pip install requests
I am trying to configure python in gitbash. When I am running pip install requests it is giving error like defaulting to user installation because normal site packages is not writable.
I am running this in my client laptop. And my path is
export PATH="C:\Program Files\Python3.9.19:$PATH"
export PATH="C:\Program Files\Python3.9.19\Scripts: $PATH"
What am I missing? I am pretty new to this
