So, I love ball pythons, but my parents are scared, (and by that I mean TERRIFIED) of them. They’re mostly scared, at least from what they’ve told me, because they’re “too big” and will strangle me, and also their girth apparently is scary. I’ve tried to explain that they will not do that, but they are set and will not listen to anything. I have tried to convince them…it will not work. Simply put, it will not work at all.

So, what’s a smaller, skinnier snake that’s like a ball python in personality? I would prefer it to come in pastel or albino morphs because normal coloration scares them as well (unless the normal coloration isn’t a dark, “scary” color.) Obviously, it also can’t be venomous, or very bitey.

For some suggestions of snakes they find less scary- Corn snakes (all except the Sunkissed and Normal morphs they find alright), western hognoses with pastel morphs (ie- Arctic, Yeti).
