Howdy yall 🤠
The team saw quant new-grad/interns struggling with the job market. So we wanted to take some time off working on our site to help out the young folk.
Our goal is to post 3-4 listings everyday to keep things 🔥: https://github.com/QuantEssential-io/New-Grad-Internships
P.S: anyone who can contribute or even ⭐️ the repo so other contributors can find it - we appreciate it Goodluck everyone!
Hi, I was hoping to get my hands on some open source/publicly available projects - Github or similar platforms - on : Application of Stochastic Calculus for Finance, Algorithmic Trading Techniques, Guide on using kdb/q database.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
Anyone have a github/job board to look at for new grad 2025? Greatly appreciate it, thanks!
I'm learning qfinance in university and would like any recommendations or best practices to reallly break into the industry. Please note that I'm a beginner, pls do not roast me on my lack of knowledge on certain subjects. Only positive ans supportive comments please.
What are some github projects you would recommend for beginners to take up? Honestly watching videos related to data science/ quant finance on using libraries like numpy, pandas, matplotlib is so boring and I really need to apply it on something for it to stick in.
For interviews, what type of leetcode questions do I have to prep on?
What books do you recommend for me to read on for some self-study?
What did you do early on, study plan, projects you did, etc to succeed?
This is inspired by 2023 Quant Total Compensation Thread : quant (reddit.com), except for new grad offers as I figured that recruiting season is mostly over by now. Obfuscating salary by 25k could help you ensure its anonymity if that's desired while preserving most information! Here's the template I'll use. Here's a template, feel free to include whatever you're comfortable sharing.

Hey all, here's a list of firms you can apply to for quant internships and new grad roles in 2022. The recruiting timeline for quant positions starts quite early, so HRT already posted their summer 2022 internships and Optiver posted their expression of interest forms for 2022 positions.
Most roles open up in May-July and peak interview season tends to be around August-October. While it's better to apply early, most top firms are usually happy to interview you way later as well (e.g. Jane Street, HRT and Two Sigma all interview well into the winter months).
We'll keep updating the list as new jobs are posted in the coming weeks. Feel free to submit a pull request for any suggestions and good luck!
Anyone able to outline a comprehensive path to become proficient enough to being a quant? Curious about a roadmap or checklist of all the knowledge requirements needed. Any courses or links would be greatly appreciate as well!
