The Incredible Size of Quetzalcoatlus - DinoPit
April 4, 2022 - It is not only that this incredible ... prehistoric beast was. The estimated wingspan of the Quetzalcoatlus is approximated to be 52.2 feet....
This is Quetzalcoatlus northropi. It is the largest pterosaur ever discovered and possibly the largest flying animal EVER! It had a wingspan of around 15.9 metres (59 feet).
That's crazy. Does anybody know why most pterosaurs were mostly just a head? It seems like everyone I look at the majority of the animal is it's head. More on reddit.com
Quetzalcoatlus The largest flying animal to ever live
Scrapped with T. rexes? That's a bit of an exaggeration. This thing weighed no more than 250 kg. T. rex weighed around 8000 kg (if not more). Them fighting against a T. rex is like a seagull fighting against me. All it can do is fly around me being a nuisance, but a single hit from me (or bite for a T. rex) would annihilate the flying critter. More on reddit.com
Question. Which pterosaur is actually bigger? Hatzegopteryx or Quetzalcoatlus? I hear multiple debates and discussions about it and they all have different opinions and beliefs but I have mixed feelings about it and would like to see your guys opinions on it.
From most info I gathered, it seems that Quetzalcoatlus had a bigger wingspan and was a bit taller, but in science size is determined by mass, and since Hatzegopteryx appears to be more robust, the Hatzegopteryx would be my bet on the one being bigger. The first picture you have there is massively undersizing the Hatzegopteryx though, their height was a lot closer than that. More on reddit.com

Could Quetzalcoatlus carry a human?
The results of a computer simulation suggests that the largest members of Quetzacoatlus might be able to carry a person. However, even after taking into account the size of the dinosaur, the dinosaur’s large head, the weight of its human “rider,” and general aerodynamics, it would be a difficult undertaking.

Did Quetzacoatlus eat dinosaurs?
It is unlikely that Quetzacoatlus ate dinosaurs, since it had a long jaw with no teeth, which was better suited to probing for invertebrates in the wet areas it inhabited.

That's a person for scale but it is heavily believed that they often scrapped with T-rex's and could've flown at up to 80mph
