I love the QX120s. I haven't had a Corsair fan before, but I had other brands and I like both their sound profile and their performance. I don't need to spin them more than around 900 rpm (they go as low as 450) and I can hear their sound only above around 1100 rpm. Even if I try to run them full speed, I don't hear any whine, it's mostly the air whoosh. I'd say the only fans that were quieter were Noctua fans. As for the price, it will depend on the lifespan. If I get few years out of them without any sort of degradation, I'm happy. I was willing to pay a bit more for much less fan cables in the case. In comparison to my previous nzxt setup, it's night and day. I read a lot of hate on icue here, but I had so many problems with CAM that switching to icue was a big improvement and I haven't had any issues with v5 so far. More on reddit.com

Corsair QX120 fans are one of the most beatiful fans out there but a lot of people says that they are not good for radiators.
I can say the complete opposite.
This fans is so silent and even at low RPM they push a lot of air through rads. This is a video on the fan at 1000rpm with a tick 5.5mm rad from Corsair the XR7.

Nah dude. They are loud at speed and don’t push as much air as competitors. My noctua a12’s are so much better (I have both types of fans in my case on rads). They Push more air and are much quieter at speed. Now are the qx easier to wire than my 20+ noctua fans? Sure. Are the lights purdy? Sure. But let’s not overstate what they can do.

I’m looking to upgrade to Corsair Link fans (QX120) as the fans I have right now have zeros fan control (either high or low speed) and controlled via a crappy RGB remote. iCUE has come a long way and has been working well enough lately that I’m looking to spend invest the money into their system.
The issue is the investment. Amazon has the fans for $140 for 3 (X2) and then a single fan for $50. Then if I wanted to get RGB strips, it would be even more expensive. I’m looking to upgrade my AIO in the future as mine runs well now so it’ll get replaced when it reaches EOL.
The last thing I want is to spend the money into the system to find out their fans die easily or don’t work as advertised. Can anyone with Corsair link give me their user experience? I appreciate any input.

honesty man, to each their own. I find their new system of fans even more proprietary, overpriced and pointless, they care more about the aesthetic than function, not to mentioned their software clashes with a lot of other software that causes crashes on my system. I’ve switched out all corsair fans to EKWB non RGB products. nice PC setup! love the white. very clean. Cheers! edit: spelling
