Hi, i'm new to PC gaming and i was wondering what is the difference? if there is any?
I got my RX 7700 XT a week ago and been happy with the performance I've have compared to what I had previously. I've been looking around the AMD Adrenalin Software and saw that Enhance Sync is, in a sense, a better V-sync. I currently have a 75hz monitor that I can't find the Freesync option in the OSD menu, so I'm assuming it doesn't have it even though google says it does.
My question is, should I turn this on as my global settings? And does it limit fps to the refresh rate of my monitor similar to Vsync but better? I've read up that it is hit or miss depending on the game.
Edit: Or should I use both Enhanced Sync with the Frame Rate Target Control with a Max FPS to 75?
Ryzen 7 3700x, RX 590, ASUS ROG STRIX X470 F motherboard, 32GB DDR4 3200mhz corsair vengeance rgb. Main monitor is LG 34GL750-B 34' Ultrawide 1080p 144hz gaming monitor with adaptive sync technology and g sync compatible.
Should I turn on Radeon Enhance sync? My monitor and gpu support them but idk if i should turn them on or not like is it going to create big latency?
i wanted to start using freesync and i learn that is better using it with v-sync and limiting fps doing: Monitor fresh rate - 3. So i found that amd have the radeon enhanced sync and i was wonder if it's better than vsync
Wondering if Enhanced sync should be used and or If I should use freesync? My monitor also has adaptive sync should I have it on or off. Everything I find on it is 6+ months old
