I've tried posting on the 'official' thread on phoronix but I'm not getting any response.

Based on what I could find, it seems that it is possible to underclock with the radeon-profile tool but it requires some kind of workaround method since the slider on the interface can only be used for increasing clocks. Is anybody able to clarify this?

Also, if anyone has any tips on installing and running the tool, cos I'm a relative noob to linux, etc., the installation instructions are quite basic, and again based from what I've found, it seems that the tool is quite tricky to install and get running.

I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.
