I moved almost all my 401k money to this fund thinking it would turn into an income fund this year where I wouldn't be affected by a market fall. Still thinking of retiring this year but these fucking tariffs still hit me hard. WTF?
It's February and the time of raises (or quitting). Here's a poll to input your merit/compensation for Q1 of 2025. It's formatted much the same as the previous threads:

NOTE 1: No, I don't collect your data for some nefarious purpose. The sign-in provides some measure of spam. Don't put in self-incriminating information in here since this is all public.
NOTE 2: This is all self-reporting so obviously take the results with a grain of salt.
The new Min/Max number was posted in my Workday Profile. For a P5, the Min went from 118k to 124k (5% increase), the Max went up from 246k to 250k (1.6% increase). It looks like this year they are working to tighten up the pay ban.
Does anyone know what the 2025 merit target will be this year?
Don't forget to do your 2025 Goals you mother fuckers. Let me see some of them here.
Seems to be a lot of rumors swirling. Can anyone confirm?
See link for analysis of US based responses to the survey. Broke down location, function, levels, of response as well as salary, merit, AIP and YOE by level.
Some fun little nuggets in there.
I have heard that there will be another round of layoffs this year at Pratt & Whitney. Has anyone heard anything about this?
Just got an offer for RTX corporate and the benefits summary didn't say much about holidays. Does RTX corporate get off the 25th-31st? What are the other holidays? I followed up with the HR rep but haven't heard back yet
Seems like layoffs are hitting across RTX again, and the rumors were true.
How are things looking where you are? Any updates or trends you’ve noticed?
To anyone impacted — my sincere condolences. I know words don’t fix it, but I hope you’re finding support, whether through your network, community, or even here. Losing a job doesn’t define your worth — you’ve still got talent, experience, and value to bring.
Let’s use this thread to share updates, resources, or even encouragement. A little solidarity goes a long way.
Title. Had a days warning from an ominous meeting with my manager scheduled out of no where in a conference room we don't normally meet in.
Does anybody have any information regarding what next might be happening with Raytheon? Our senior leaders have canceled their all hands without a reschedule, travel is being canceled by senior level leaders, and there is an all hands with Callio on Monday for people leaders. What could be going on?
Interiors, WS. Got the ‘Touch Point’ invite for 9:00am, cut loose by 9:03am. “It’s not you, it’s us”
I’m more annoyed that I only got three semesters into my MBA through ESP. Good luck, everyone.
I mean OBVIOUSLY there would never EVER be more layoffs, but just a few reminders from someone that was promoted to customer earlier this year if the corporate powers decided to sacrifice more people so that shareholders can make an extra .002/share on their dividends: (information was accurate at the time I was let go, so no promises that it's still accurate.)
* Sevvy package should be 1 week per year served, rounded UP (so 9.5 years becomes 10 weeks)
* ACCRUED time gets paid out.
* NON-ACCRUED time does NOT get paid out.
* 1 year of insurance at your current levels for health/dental vision
* 1 year access to ESP
* Access to Right Management talent provided.
* Any purchased, but unused PTO should be paid back.
* If you have RStars that are unspent, they CAN be cashed out after severance, but it takes a phone call to that department --- somewhere in this reddit is the phone number.
* If you have money in accounts like dependent care FSA's you can access that still.
Strategy wise, the biggest consideration for me was that if you have AWP (which is granted and not accrued) you want to use that before any PTO during the year. Sick time is also not paid out, so for the love of God if you feel sick, use the time. Personally I spent any RStars and such as soon as they got to me because I never ever trusted that I wouldn't be let go at any time.
Personally, I'd recommend going to the various systems like workday, EmpowerU and whatever else that has a profile of your information and keep that backed up. Same with insurance coverages and info. Knowing exactly how much PTO you have is adviseable just in case. I would periodically download a PDF of paystubs for records as well.
Good luck out there!
Recently I got a call back from Raytheon and there's an actual possibility of getting work that's related to my degree field in their IIS division.
I'm in no real position to say no if they offer me work since they're the only people that are even speaking to me and taking work with them would represent a significant increase in my quality of life. I'm only making like 600-700 dollars a month right now with my little crappy job.
However part of the description for the opening says that I need to be able to acquire a SSBI security clearance which I understand is fairly intrusive and I'm not sure how comfortable I am with that idea that somebody is going to be digging that deeply into my life and personal affairs.
What's it like working there? Are you piss tested all the time and made to jump through a bunch of hoops? Is the company culture positive? I'm sure review sites have some info on this but you always get really biased info one way or another with them.
