Long story short, in my country (Greece), I opted for a budget mechanical keyboard at 55 euros. After only some days of use, it had issues, so I took it back and used that 55 to pay a total of 100 euros and grab the Razer Blackwidow 2019. As a person that was into world high end gaming some years ago but now is on an academic path, I was interested 65% in general work and paper typing and 35% in gaming performance. I saw some reviews and most sites gave moderate ones, but people that bought it, especially in Greece, were saying good words, so I said why not?

And boy, that keyboard delivered like a MF. First of all, it had a HUGE difference out of the box with any budget mechanical I have tried. The layout of it, being the classical one, is amazingly comfortable and really easy to get your hands on. The new Razer Green switches also feel great and if they are as robust as promised, then their quality is really top notch. Gaming performance is great, but I was blown away by how much I enjoyed typing on this keyboard from the first moment. My typing strokes are a perfect match for that keyboard as I see myself typing faster and most importantly relaxed. Also, at least in Greece, for the 100 euros price point there isn't another high-end and top brand full keyboard (with RGB). The only comparable one is the HyperX Alloy FPS RGB which costs just a bit more, but haven't tried it.

All in all, I want to say that I really do not understand why these internet reviews were mediocre with only some of them saying a lot of good words. I find the price really attractive in today's high end keyboard market, the build is robust and feels of high quality (despite being plastic), the typing experience is really great and gaming is also smooth. I couldn't care less for the abscence of media keys by the way, as I am using a full size amplifier sound system connected to my rig. Finally, the RGB looks great and classy with no light bleeding and I didn't find difficult to use Razer's software.

For me, this feels like a win-win keyboard buy at this moment. I don't know how it will turn down on the long run, but if no issues appear, this is one of the nicest peripherals I have ever used. And I had the chance to use the "master" of keyboards, owing two IBM Model M(s). My father who is also a PC enthusiast since his early days and very critical of today's peripherals (and huge lover of these Modem M(s)) gave the new Blackwidow a try and this is the ONLY time I have heard him saying good stuff about a modern keyboard.

TLDR: I just wanted to say that I feel that the Razer Blackwidow 2019 with the new Razer Green switches is a top notch product for a very good price (100 euros) which I trully believe that it deserves appreciation, as this isn't the case from as much I have seen from online site reviews. Also but of major importance, the typing experience is really great and this is not something I usually end up saying.

It's currently the oldest looking keyboard in the lineup, all the new ones have a floating key design but the blackwidow 2019 has the older design with the white rgb plate under the keys... is it a good idea to buy it?
