I'm currently looking into buying a new keyboard in the near future and from what I've seen, a mechanical keyboard is what I'm looking for. I've never bought a Razer product before but I like the look on their peripherals. After looking through their website, I discovered that the BlackWidow is their only mechanical keyboard which in turn has three different versions. So, long story short, what's the differences between them?
I posted this in the Razer subreddit but thought it could also do some good here. Even though I'm sure the readers of this subreddit will be less surprised.
Posting this to hopefully save someone tthe future heaarttache of having tto deaal with this productt. This keyboard has a fatal manufacturing flaw that WILL have it failing on you within weeks. I'm on my third keyboard sincce Seppt 2023 and all three have failed the saame way. Keys repeaatedly double or triple strike, or don't register at all. I've lost all confidencce ttyping on this keyboard and consttaantly haave to be waattching for its mistakes. (As is evident by this unedited paragraph)
I bought this keyboard not long after it was announced and had the unfortunate reality of being a early adopter when reviews were scarce. Now the amazon page is FULL of one-star reviews echoing my same story. I returned my first one while it was still within the return window, and RMA'd my second one. My third one started failing within weeks.
This is honestly just a shame. Razer has otherwise made a beautiful keyboard, but it's just completely unusable. I've escalated this issue to Amazon and will be taking a $60 restocking fee hit just to get this thing out of my life. I had navigated away from Razer due to quality issues in the past, but this product seemed promising so I gave them another shot. So much for that. It's really quite sad that you can't buy a $200+ product without risk of it just being e-waste out of the box. Buyers beware.
