January 15, 2024Is Razers software really that bad?
Meh. It does have some weird quirks that you have to baby a bit. For example, I had to disable Synapse on startup because although it loaded on boot, it didn't think it was loaded so my profiles wouldn't work. And too many users have something like that to manage - for this I just have to do one extra click on startup. So silly things like that shouldn't exist in software, hence the complaints but it's not like it's unusable and I don't think it should dissuade you from buying if you're really interested in the hardware - but to each his or her own. Basically title.
I just picked up a new Razer Viper Ultimate wireless and I was wondering if I need Razer’s software to make use of it.
I used to use Synapse for a BlackWidow X keyboard years ago before I was given a new brand but I really disliked their software because of how many problems it gave me on my computer back then (multiple restarts, high usage, didn’t connect). So I would like to stray away from using it but maybe it’s better now and hopefully more Razer experienced people here can let me know.
Also if anyone else has a Razer Viper Ultimate, is there anything you could let me know that I otherwise wouldn’t?
