Are all the Razer Doubleshot PBT keycaps terrible at displaying the light under it or do I have a faulty pack?
Razer's PBT keycaps are not the best out there, the black set has dark parts that won't let the light pass through and the white, pink and green have bleeding which means the light will pass through most of the keycap and not just the font so colors will be all pale and whiteish.
Also in a few months of really heavy usage they will shine, seen it a few times with the black ones.
Still much better than ABS keycaps though.

PBT feels nicer on the fingers and is far more resistant to wear than the standard ABS. The downside is that the keyboard lighting doesn’t show as brightly or consistently. I have Razer’s caps on my BlackWidow V2 and like them quite a bit.

Razer is now making PBT keycaps for their keyboards !
Will these keycaps fit the switches on my keyboard?
What keycap layout is provided?
Does the package include stabilizers for my keyboard?

I just got the Razer Huntsman Elite and my older Das Keyboard had PBT keycaps (I think, they never got shiny smooth over time) so I wanted to get some for this keyboard. I know that this doesn't have a standard bottom row so I'm forced to just the official Razer PBT keycaps. I bought the black ones because I also heard that those don't bleed light like the other colors.
I got it in the mail a few minutes ago and tried replacing the esc key (didn't bother with the rest) and part of the "e" in esc is slightly darker. It's as if it's not cut out that clearly from the inside where the light shines through. The default keycaps are clearly cut out there are no issues with how the light displays under them. Is this something one should expect with PBT keycaps or just the Razer PBT keycaps? Or do I just have a faulty one and have to keep returning them until I get one that does display the light and letters clearly?
Hi I'm wondering what is the pros and cons for the PBT keycaps.
I'm using Razer Huntsman and I'm curious to see what would it improve I know that it would improve durability because its double shot and what else what would it improve?

I upgraded my Huntsman Elite a month or so ago (last day before the stay at home stuff happened).
Pros:
Better key feel on your fingers. They have a textured surface and the texture doesn't wear away easily like the stock caps.
They don't end up all shiny from the oils on your fingers.
They produce a more satisfying sound when bottoming out.
The secondary labels are backlit except for the Fn keys
Cons:
Lighting is noticeably dimmer and colors are a tiny bit off from the stock caps.
As others have said, the font isn't quite as crisp on all keys.
Number pad keys are lacking their shift functions (home, end, page up/page down, etc)
You have to take all your stock caps off and put the new ones on. Time consuming process, but otherwise quite easy to do. It gave me a chance to clean between all the switches as I've had this Huntsman Elite since the day it launched.
I'm not sure I like the pudding style which so many adore, so let's just compare them quality-wise. Thickness, font, how they feel etc. Does anyone have experience with both?
This thread is for feedback on the new PBT keycaps Razer just launched (specifically the green ones). First, let me start by saying that these keycaps feel great, just like the other Razer PBT ones, and the quality overall feels and looks great while your keyboard is off, and the room is lit up.
That said, these keycaps are terrible for RGB keyboards, in spite of the double-shot backlight/shine through lettering.
The light bleed is really really bad, giving them a really unclean, cheap look with any RGB on.
They wash any color out completely. I'm not sure what is going on here, or if it's even by accident. I guess someone could have decided that these keycaps are all about the green, which is why literally every color except reds just look green with these on, but none of the other cap colors are that way, and it's not demonstrated in any of the marketing or packaging involved in the product (the packaging just has the black keys with a logo displaying the cap color in the box. And this is Razer we're talking about... for it so intentionally not be aimed as colors, it's just.... what?
I really really wanted to like these keycaps, especially since they were a gift from my wife, but at least I can warn others that might be excited about getting these. And maybe get a response from Razer about these issues?
Anyway, here's some footage I uploaded demonstrating how any RGB color completely washes out into green.
Hello, I was considering to buy some Razer PBT keycaps for my Razer Blackwidow for just aesthetic looks and I've been trying to wonder if anyone here has bought them and if they have been fine with them, I've been wanting to add a little flair to my keyboard and setup so that's pretty much the main reason why
