Are you looking for a tv that has a terrible interface and just craps out soon as your warranty goes out? Look no further.
RCA IS THE BEST FOR YOU.
If you’re looking for a tv to give to an enemy of your choosing, this …is ..THE.. one.
Stray away, don’t be thrifty. Get a better brand…
Hi, my friend bought a TV from a company called RCA in Canada recently and from day 1 it was faulty/damaged ( it had 3 red dots on the screen that wouldn't go away). She contacted the store and they told her to process the refund she would have to contact the customer service department at RCA. Its taken over 3 weeks to get to a point where she's received an email asking her to cut the cord of the TV and to remove or cover the serial number, model number and case file numbers on the TV. Apparently they need her to do this to process the claim and then to send them pictures once she's done this.
Is this normal? It seems a bit weird to ask her to intentionally damage the TV and remove all identification of the TV before processing her claim. I've emailed them on her behalf and also reached out to The Consumer Protection Department in Ontario to see if they can shed any light on it.
If anyone has any advice or help it would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
