For people still on the fence, I HATE MY RUGGABLES. Love the pattern/colors and that’s the only reason I still have it. This is what it does every time I vacuum (yes I adjust the suction setting and this is on the lowest). Also not shown is the curling up on one of the edges. Trying to get this turd to lay flat and wrinkle free takes an act of god. More on reddit.com

For what it’s worth, I have a Ruggable in my sons playroom and I love it. It can be a little tricky to roll out since the pad and the rug are separate pieces but I find the quality of the rug to be great for a playroom. More on reddit.com

I have 2 washable runners. I think washable rugs are only “okay” for small rugs. I’ve heard nightmares about the big ones including what you mentioned not fitting in washing machines (basically defeating the purpose) and being very difficult to lay down again. My runners fit in my washer just fine and clean well. However they are difficult to vacuum (I end up having to shake them out) and they curl on the edges because they are thin. I would personally start with the runners first before investing in larger rugs More on reddit.com

I’ve newly discovered the world of washable rugs only to not find any with good recommendations? I’m not looking for anything fancy, just something that can be thrown in the washing machine and won’t get sucked up by my vacuum. I’d be getting a 5x7 or even 5x6 if I can find it. I’ve seen Ruggable and Tumble Rugs but seem to only be seeing the bad reviews. I see that Amazon has some but again, more bad reviews than good. So I’m hopeful that Reddit can help me narrow down at least where I should buy one.

I have a Tumble rug. It will get sucked up by a vacuum though unless you have a low suction sweeper. Mine is flat with a print, not plush. But that said I really like it and it’s easy to pop in the washer and lay back out because the back doesn’t stick to the rug pad. It’s held on by pockets at the corners. We picked a Tumble over Ruggable because of the ease of putting it down on the rug pad.

I have a dog that sheds and am looking for a washable rug option and would like to hear everyone’s thoughts on which option above is best. I’m planning on getting either 8x10 or 9x12 with a cushioned pad. I know that Amazon is the least expensive but if Ruggable/Tumble are worth it, I would make the investment. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I have 2 Ruggable rugs. IMO they are way overpriced for what they are, I would not repurchase them again. They have held up ok and are still decent looking, but again overpriced for what they are. I didn’t have the choice at the time as they were the only thing of the sort on the market. I would suggest reading more about the other companies, especially Amazon.
