Thank you for your response.
I have tried the steps you rcommended and I continue to have
the same issue.
- Device Manager - Uninstalled Realtek Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter
- Restarted PC
- All drivers are up to date, yet the issue remains that the
only device affected is the wireless headphone (Cowin E-7),
I lose the sound, although it appears in Bluetooth devices,
and is replaced by "speakers." - I have to reload the minidisk for the Realtel Bluetooth 5.0
Adapter to load the Realtek drivers back on and re-install Realtek
Bluetooth. After this is complete the wireles headphones
work well.
Guess I shall ignore any updates, since headphones work well
without updates.
Should you have any other resolution, please let me know.
Thanks again for getting back.

So i built a new pc a few weeks ago and have been using my bose qc ultras with my realtek bluetooth adapter without any issues so far. That was untill yesterday at least when all of a sudden after a restart they wouldnt connect anymore. Windows is giving me error code 31 saying it cant load the drivers for this device. I ran the troubleshoot which apparently reset all the drivers - same issues. I reinstalled the latest drivers manually - still nothing.
Any other ideas i could try?
Asus K55a Notebook Windows 10.0.19042 Build 19042
So I want to be using Bluetooth 5.0, at least I think I do. My headset works with Bluetooth 5.0 and I'm going to be doing a lot more video conference style things in the near future so I would assume the updated drivers would improve overall performance right?
But I digress.
I've found a set of Realtek 5.0 drivers here: http://www.seanmauch.com/realtek-bluetooth-5-0-driver-rtl8671b/
I don't have a realtek bluetooth adapter, From what I can tell I'm using an Asus driver for my adapter, does that mean it's proprietary hardware?
I'm not great with driver stuff to be honest. If anyone knows an easy way to get better touchpad drivers installed I'd love to hear them too! This bitch stopped registering gestures a while back, pretty sure it's my fault for fucking up an attempt at installing better drivers in the first place.
And yet again I get lost in the sauce.
TL;DR: How do I get Bluetooth 5.0? And if anyone knows a good way to get better touchpad drivers that would be great!
