Hi, T.,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.
The Windows installation that came preinstalled on laptops is not the same as the Windows installation that you download using the Media Creation Tool. The laptop manufacturers install a custom version of Windows that have the necessary drivers for the laptop's work and the Media Creation Tool installs a clean version of Windows with the generic drivers.
As you are stuck on the out-of-box experience process, you can use this procedure to set up Windows using a local account, and then configure your Microsoft account.
- In the "Let's connect you to a network" page
1-Press Shift+F10 to open the Command Prompt
2-Type this command and press Enter:
oobe\bypassnro
3-Your computer will reboot automatically, and you may need to start the out-of-box experience again
4-In the "Let's connect you to a network" page, click on "I don't have internet" at the bottom of the page
5-Then click on "Continue with limited setup"
6-Then follow the instruction to create a local account and finish the Out-of-box experience
When finished, install the drivers from the manufacturer's website, connect your computer to the internet and configure your Microsoft account.
1-Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Your info.
2-Select "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead".
3-Follow the prompts to switch to your Microsoft account.

[DRIVERS] Realtek Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth - Republic of Gamers Forum - 871130
Insane Realtek Wifi patch just went out yesterday - who else is having a bad day?
Videos
I downloaded the correct & latest wifi, bluetooth and even BIOS Driver’s from the Gigabyte website for my Z790 elite ax ice motherboard. And i chose the 1.1 version cos it seemed to be what i have after some googling. I had to use someone elses PC to download them bcos my mac doesn’t leg me copy the Driver Folders to my hardrive even if i unzip them…
Ive gone to run the applications on my new pc build and nothing happens.
literally nothing happens after what is shown in these photos, it just goes away
I tried to “update drivers and “look for updates” on the network tabs with the ⚠️ but nothing can be found.
I cant figure out how to updates BIOS either after endless searches this is really disheartening. Gigabyte Support is hopeless too they dont read the question properly & take days to reply.
Help would make my day, please!
We've tried RMAs, onsite installs of new boards, drivers reinstalled, reimaged. Nope, some systems just kept cutting power to the wifi and bluetooth randomly. That's wasted 100+ hours of our time with no solution and caused us to blacklist entire model families from our laptop purchasing because nobody can figure out the problem.
Guess what just came out today for the Realtek RTL8852BE and Realtek RTL8852CE WLAN modules?
Driver versions
Versions 6001.15.123.347(8852BE)/6001.16.126.333(8852CE)
[Problem fixes]
- Optimization LPS mode TX DMA behavior to fix an issue that network would suddenly disconnection with AP or trigger roaming.
- Updated to fix BSOD 0x7E issue.
- Enhancement to avoid disconnection while heavy CPU loading.
- Fixed an issue that video will be buffered after 8852BE WLAN with 8 clients and Hotspot network band select 5GHz.
about 1/8th of the laptops at my company use this module. At least Crowdstrike didn't get us. I don't think our management software can identify wireless cards by hardware title either. This is gonna be a fun rollout. So, who else was affected by this wireless card from hell? It mostly was released in the last 1.5 years btw. I am absolutely fuming over this.
If you know your Realtek chip model get your drivers from here, and you are right never use a 3rd party driver update app/program.
The link is direct to network drivers on the Realtek site.

(Sorry, BryceSor, I had to unmark your answer. You did find the correct source for Realtek drivers, it's just that I had perhaps misstated the problem!)
I thought others might be interested in this update to the problem.
First, I hesitated to download any other driver, because unless the new one had a more recent date than the one I just installed from Microsoft Update, it would just be allowing the Microsoft version to be installed again.
So in the interim, I did some more testing. It's really weird what Realtek seems to have done.
In the past, the signal strength symbol (on the right side of the taskbar) indicated signal strength. If it fluctuated, it used to indicate poor signal, making you reorient the antenna or opt for a signal repeater.
Best I can tell, by doing speed tests and browsing in general, that same signal strength meter has been repurposed. It now shows bit rate being transferred, at that instant. Start a new speed test, it shows what used to represent a strong signal. Speed test ends, suddenly the symbol drops way down, implying a really awful WiFi signal.
To double-check this theory, I moved my PC from the 5 GHz band, which I typically use, to the 2.4 GHZ band, expecting to see the signal strength symbol to show full strength. But no, it too was showing this odd behavior, where it represents transfer rate as opposed to signal strength.
I don't like this one bit.
(Another problem Microsoft caused in the past couple of days, spell check no longer works on Edge. The new Edge update seems to have removed the suggested correct spellings, when a word is misspelled. Still underscores the misspelled word in red, but then it "offers no suggestions" always. Even for the most trivial misspellings. Yet, in other apps such as Notepad, spell check works fine, like always.)

Thanks for the clarification.
I suggest doing the following:
- Download the latest chipset driver from the link below and install it.
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Driver/m...
(Extract the ZIP file, double-click the file "mb_driver_597_chipset_6.05.16.221" to run it, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.)
- I noticed that the motherboard BIOS is outdated. I suggest you update it by following Gigabyte's instructions.
Then, see if there are any changes in Device Manager.
Also, see if you can install the Wi-Fi adapter driver.
I'll leave the Wi-Fi adapter driver in the link below just in case.
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Driver/m...
(Extract the ZIP file, double-click the file "674_6001.16.119.0_SETUP" to run it, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.)
If the problem persists, let me know. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.
Please clarify the following:
Do you have a device named "Unknown Device" or with a warning sign in Device Manager?
If yes, share a screenshot. Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.
Also, share a screenshot of your system information.
- Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.
Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.
I await your reply. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.
I don't know if you found your answer but there seem to be major problems with Realtek 8852BE and CE cards and Unifi U7-Pro access points. I am willing to bet your school put in Unifi U7 access points. Unifi has been very silent on this and Realtek has not said a word either. Have had HP, Lenovo, and Dell systems with these wireless cards exhibiting the behavior you are describing when connected. Started seeing the issues in the later part of 2024 and still seeing issues with this here in June of 2025. Word is there are issues with the Realtek drivers for this wireless card. Have not found a newer driver to fix as of yet.
Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Your minidump files do all indicate it is the Realtek WiFi drivers causing your PC to crash, there is no other contributary factor to the crashes listed.
If you have re-installed (not updated) the Realtek WiFi drivers that are provided on the support page for your system on the Asus website, and that has not stabilised your system, then there may be a hardware issue on the Realtek WiFi card and it may be best to replace that WiFi card.
