So my apple ID has been locked on all my apple devices after I changed my phone number. I have my password and everything, just don't have access to my old number. Tried contacting support and they said there is nothing they can do and the best I could do is make a new apple id and download my apps all over again. My icloud/itunes is lost too. Has anyone had an experience with this?

Do you remember the old phone number?? Your on 2 Factor right? Have you tried account recovery?

Heads up: a senior advisor cannot help you. There is nothing they can do but walk you through the process. They have no say in account recovery. Like I said in another comment, try a different network. Hell, I'd clear your browser cache too. Who knows what's stopping that link from redirecting correctly. Also, keep in mind that the link expires quickly (off the top of my head I think it's 3 hours, but idk) so you need to click it as soon as it's received.

Okay, so this is an interesting one - could use some help here!

When I bought my iPhone about a year ago, I was in the process of shutting down my business, including the company phone plan. Due to some weirdness, I had to get a temporary phone number, and it's this phone number (let's call it Temp_Phone_Number) that the Apple Store rep used to set up my iCloud account.

I then forgot my iCloud password (as so many of us do, right!?), and have been unable to reset the password because my iCloud account has Temp_Phone_Number attached to it, which is no longer in service - I now have my original phone number back that I used with my company. I can't change the phone number associated with my iCloud account without logging in, though, and I can't log in, because I don't remember my password. I'm stuck.

I've been on multiple customer service calls with Apple, and have gone into the store for help, and literally, nobody has been able (or willing?) to help me with this. I can't download apps onto my phone without being logged into my iCloud account, which has been so frustrating.

I understand and even appreciate that Apple has secure practices here that make this challenging, but it shouldn't be impossible, right? Does anybody know of a workaround that I haven't thought of? This is so frustrating. Thanks in advance for the help!

Go to iforgot.apple.com from a web browser on any device. Enter your Apple ID email address and click "Continue". When prompted for your phone number, enter the old phone number that was associated with your account, even though you no longer have access to it. Click "Continue". On the next screen, there should be an option (there used to be) like "I don't have access to this number" If so, follow the prompts to request account recovery. You will probably need to answer some account security questions to verify your identity. Apple would then send a verification code to the email address associated with your Apple ID. If you can access that email, use the code to continue resetting your password. I believe the above still works - it did in previous years. If you can't access the email either, you'll need to request to update the trusted phone number on file. Apple will guide you through additional verification steps. Once verified, you can set a new trusted phone number and then reset your Apple ID password using that new number.

I am also facing the same problem. I had a Gmail account linked with it.. but unfortunately I deleted that Gmail account. So.. no phone number no Gmail. Just came here to ask the same question.
