I will preface this post by saying I'm just in a bad mood.
Anyway, I was gifted a pair of little sleepies. I didn't know of the brand when I was pregnant. When I looked how much they were I was shocked ! However , I read about how much they stretch and how the fabric is good for warmer weather.
I bought two additional pajamas during mat leave.
Months later I'm declutterring so i decide to list them on marketplace. OMG I could not deal with all messages I got from people. The first person who wanted them was a no show so I reposted. Got like 30 messages. I got too stressed about it I just deleted the listing. Even after deleting the listing ppl are still messaging me.
Why do these attract such a cult like following ? I am in NE Ohio middle class suburbs. I feel like these are just a dumb status symbol for people who probably shouldn't be spending $35 on Jammie's (that was me...).
One of the pairs my baby wore the most is all faded now. I don't get the obsession. I think carters sleepers are fine.
First post here, the moral of this post is that I think little sleepies purposely makes their clothes too big to cater to the “omg my 4 year old still fits in his 12month romper!!” scene. My son is and always has been at the 50th percentile for both height and weight, for most brands he switches a size up right around the time he hits the age range (switched to 12-18 around his first birthday, etc.) I’ve NEVER had as many problems with a brands sizing than with little sleepies. I bought one romper from them when my son was younger in 3-6 I think and it wasnt bad but I preferred other bamboo. But i’ve always seen the posts of people being obsessed with this brand and so I caved and I splurged on their black friday sale getting convertible rompers mostly in the 12-18 size & 2T. My son just now turned 18 months and is growing out of the 12-18 size in almost all of his bamboo pjs (they’re not super small just the neckline is stretched down a little bit so I know it’s time to size up soon) and i’m slowly switching his wardrobe to 18-24 month. And he STILL doesn’t fit in his little sleepies 12-18 month size. The cuffs on the arms and legs are so insanely scrunched up there’s just way too much unnecessary fabric there. Like they’re fine to wear I just feel like they don’t fit right. They advertise that these are meant to “grow with your child” & “last so long” but I just feel like in reality all their sizing if just off. Like if all your 6-9 pajamas fit 18 month old toddlers but not 6 month old babies doesn’t that just mean your sizing is off? In all reality I don’t get the hype at all, the material is ok but their prints are not anything special and I don’t understand why people worship this brand.
Hi, this page keeps coming up on my feed as something I would be interested in (???). I have no idea what the little sleepies lore is or why there is so much snark. But these posts with the old ladies in kids pajamas kills me every night when I doom scroll rocking my kiddo while he sleeps.
Can someone explain like I’m 5 years old what little sleepies is
How do the adult pajamas usually run. I wear an 18 or an xxxl typically but an 18 on the size chart is an XL. Just wondering how I should size.
I wear a 16 or 18 in regular clothes, an Xl or XXL in shirts. I like to order XXL tops in LS & XL Pants. They are plenty roomy. In the short 2 piece button down pj’s I do an XL. They are very generous in size.
I think a xl or xxl in both would be fine. Xl would be more form fitting and xxl will be a little loose.
I’m new but idk if I even want to be a part of this obsession! First joined the VIP Facebook group for Black Friday, didn’t get half the things I was going for. Then they do the Harry Potter drop and I was on at 11:56am because I didn’t realize they dropped a special link at first. In that minute the cloud blanket sold out, so I got 2 zippies instead, different sizes. Amongst other things, including matching pajamas for me and my boyfriend. All separate orders so nothing was sold out from my cart. Then later in the week get an email that they’ve refunded my order for the Harry Potter zippies?!? Even though I ordered them at 11:56, when the site went live at 11:55am, seriously?! Then today on the BST page, I see a Harry Potter cloud blanket someone wants to trade for a bluey blanket. Like this person ordered this for the sole purpose of trading and not because they wanted it 😒 I’m done!
I’ve been seeing so many cringey things in the vip group and I think we need to dedicate a thread to their foolishness.
Remember to block names and faces. Don’t shit on children
I discovered LS about 9 months ago, I really do love the clothes and linens. They're soft and do last longer than cotton, and obviously they have some cute prints. But it wasn't until I got on the LSVIP Facebook page and started paying attention to the drops that I realized that the business operations and fan base are...not ideal. Highly anticipated drops, or even random cute ones, selling out in minutes. BST resellers hiking up prices because the know people will pay them. Weak excuses from the company as to why this happens and why they have a terrible checkout system. And yet people always defend this with "it's always been like this" or "Jeez they're just pajamas". It's BECAUSE they're just pajamas that I'm questioning all of it. So much hype and poor planning from a very popular company, it's bizarre to me at this point. Again, I do love the products themselves, it just sucks that this is how they do things and people are perfectly fine accepting the chaos when it doesn't have to be that way.
I’ve been buying LS for over 2 years now and idk wtf has been going on the last 6-9 months. The fanbase has lost their minds. It never used to be like this idk if they hired a new marketing team or what. That VIP page on Facebook is full of crazies and the BST market is equally insane. I almost see it as a bubble that is going to pop eventually. I still buy prints I like when I can but find the overall fanbase increasingly cringe. And that’s coming from someone who has easily spent over $1000 of pajamas for my daughter/gifts.
The old lularoe girlies have moved onto LS for their kids
Hi Mommas!
I recently received a little sleepies onesie in a clothing bundle and love how soft they are! I looked at their site and I could not bring myself to purchase a $34 onesie lol I do really like that the onesies become footies!
Anyone know of other bamboo/rayon clothing companies? Recently noticed that my 2 month old has eczema and noticed her skin does so much better with this fabric. Thanks!!
Do any of you own little sleepies? Is there actually anything that makes them special or hype? I understand they have cute patterns but I’m honestly wondering if there’s more to it than just that???
I came across this sub when it was mentioned in another sub and that was when I first heard of this brand. To me, they look like generic pyjamas except they're 5~10× more expensive. I like the zodiac and star prints but everything else is just kinda "meh". Is the material significantly better than other brands to justify the price? Is the zip-suit design better? What's the hype? And what's the lore behind Crazy LS Grammy?
Hi! I want to order family matching Christmas pajamas from Little Sleepies, but I’m wondering if the adult pajamas run as big as the baby stuff? My son is almost 10 months old and has lots of room in his 3-6 month little sleepies still, so not sure the adult pajamas tend to run bigger too and if my normal size would be too big on me. I’m usually a small or medium, but tend to size up in pajamas for a looser fit.
What’s the hype with little sleepies pj’s?? They do have cute patterns but $38 for a pair of pjs is crazy! Am I missing something? I do like bamboo style pjs but they are all just so expensive!!
This is a trial thread for Little Sleepies and other bamboo clothing group snark. We'd love your feedback on whether giving these groups a separate thread from IRL/Online snark is something you'd like to see again next week.
**Please note you must mentally submit proof of yourself in children's PJs on a high-end product box to participate in this thread
What does everyone’s toddler wear to bed? We were wearing Targets Cloud Island Footless Pajamas. We love the price, the fact that it’s footless, and that it’s a thinner fabric. I went to buy 18m and they don’t have it in stock. I’m now doubting they make them that big. My baby is now 15 months old. Do kids that age not wear zippered pajamas? Is there a good alternative that isn’t 30 dollars for one pair? Help a mama out, please! Lost and confused in bedtime attire!
Hello all! My family has a long tradition of doing holiday pajamas and it is my year to pick. We have previously gone with Burts Bees but since my nieces love their little sleepies, I was looking at their holiday collection.
Some years we've had issues with the pjs for the men, some of them being a tad...revealing. Do any of y'all have an idea on how the men's pj pants run and have you had that issue with them?
Thanks!
So… I buy a lot of things second hand. Save the planet or whatever. Plus babies are only in their clothes or toys for like two seconds.
I want to get my daughter some bamboo sleepers. Plus our second is on the way (2u2!) They grow out of the cotton ones so quickly I figure the expense is worth it esp with another coming . But when I look up little sleepies and kyte baby on Poshmark/Mercari/marketplace I can’t find ANY below retail!! I thought some were just discontinued prints but it seems to be even plain colored ones! What gives?! At this point I’m going to probably buy new bc it’s a worthy investment but I wanted to check used first.
Side note ( I went to Kate Quinn website and realized they’re all button and not zipper and laughed before quickly exiting 😂)
