I have been going crazy over trying to find a sectional that will fit my living room (125” by 100”). We have visited a ton of the big box stores in our area (Ashley, R&F, Big Lots) and have been striking out with the layout being too big for our space, colors and comfort of those sectionals. I’ve also heard those aren’t the best quality brands either. I made a grave mistake by going to the Lovesac store and sitting in a Sactional. It checks all of my boxes for comfort/deep seating, modular, color (our living room is browns/tans/creams), and the warranty. However, the price tag is making me hesitant at $5.7k and my boyfriend thinks I’m crazy for entertaining the idea. We also have 2 cats (neither of them have touched our current couches) but that is also something we’d like to take into consideration when choosing a fabric. I love the idea of being able to wash the couch covers or at least having a sectional where the back pillows come off, without them looking too slouchy or lumpy.

To anyone that has a Lovesac Sactional, is it worth the price tag? What do you like/dislike about it? How do I know if this couch is right for our family?

I’ve tried to price this thing out to seat 8. No matter which way I slice it…. Around $10k

So my question to all of you current owners especially those a year or more in, do you feel like you get that value out of it?

Quite honestly I can buy a super nice $3k sectional every two years and change the style for the same price.

Went to the store sat in it.. being 6’5” it’s super comfortable…. But is it $10k comfortable?

Hello! My fiance and I are first time homebuyers and wondering if a lovesac sactional is the way to go.

For starters, we are NOT cheap people, we are frugal. We buy most things in cash & have no debt except our mortgage, so we live pretty comfortable with our finances. We don’t live outside our means in any way, but we do like to splurge on high quality expensive items if they are worth it. We have the mindset, we would rather buy something special that is worth the price tag instead of having to repurchase an item multiple times because we cheap out on quality. (We just invested in a set of Henckels kitchen knives that we are in love with.)

With all that being said, we are highly considering a lovesac sactional as our living room sofa. We love everything about the sactional, how customizable it is in terms of being able to rearrange it, it is stain proof & washable which are the biggest selling points considering we plan on having children & a dog, and love hosting in the living room. It is considered very high quality and durable.

We would hate to spend even $3000 on a sofa that is only going to last us a couple years and look worn out.

To us it is definitely an investment, but the thought of having a couch for a lifetime and only having to purchase it once is what justifies the average $10k price tag.

Before we commit and make the purchase, I want to hear all comments thoughts and opinions? Do you love your sactional? Would you repurchase? How long have you had yours? Is it TRULY stain resistant? If not a lovesac, is there something else you would recommend that is comparable with the same qualities (stain proof, washable, rearrangeable, etc)

Remember we aren’t looking for cheap, we are looking for long term quality.

We're couch shopping and really like the Sactional, but am curious if any of ya'll have any buyers remorse? I've never spent more than $1500~ish for a sofa set, and our config is coming in at nearly $10k after tax and with the 30% heroes discount.

It'd be for myself, my girlfriend, and our two dogs. We do spend a lot of time on the couch, and one of our dogs mysteriously ends up with mud on their feet sometimes, so we're really attracted to being able to machine wash the covers, and replace only portions if needed.

So I've been eyeing a sactional for a few years now, and I think I'm about ready to pull the trigger. I've done some research on pricing but I am wondering what is the peak time to buy ? What is the top-discount I can expect to get; 25 percent off?

I went to the store today and missed the 25 percent off, but was told it happens often. When should I start looking for the next 25 percent off sale on couches?

I do have a couple discount codes as well (student, referral). Are they always stackable as they are now? Like, is it worth it to "hold on" to them until the next bigger sale? The rep stated that they could stack the discounts but I didn't think to ask if that's a promotion or always an option.

I'm hoping to get a 5 seat, 6 side combination with corded velvet covers, 2 cupholders, one table and two arm pillows. Retail is $7305 before taxes. Today, my local store quoted me $6412 including taxes.

Hey! I wanted to share our experience with our Sactional. Our old couch, as you can see, was tired, only had two comfortable seats to sit in, and hurt you if you sat on a joint. It was comfortable in a way that your favorite old hoodie was comfortable. It was perfect around the house, but less so when it was someone other than family that was present. And we have a 1 year old with one more on the way. So it was time.

My wife and I couldn’t really decide what we wanted to replace it with. We discussed more chairs and a smaller couch. We discussed a larger couch. We tried to figure out how to configure what we didn’t know we were getting. You know, then normal dreaming phase. It was great fun!

We started shopping at furniture stores and surprised that an entry level sectional at the Room Place was $900, the first one we saw that we actually liked was $3700. (I still like reclining sectionals, but you win some, you lose some). Their most expensive one was $4,200. Very different than when we did this a decade ago.

Leaving the Room Place (place of last purchase) and going to the Dump, the second couch we saw there was the same $4,200 couch we saw at the Room Place, marked up to $7,600, then discounted to $3,700. So at least it upped the dump is cheaper right? They had a lot of great options but we didn’t see anything that called us, so we left.

Come December/Christmas sale time, my wife says Sactionals are on sale at Costco, and that one of her coworkers got one and loved it. I had a SuperSac for about a decade before she made me get rid of it to move in together. I knew the brand well and was really excited.

I came on Reddit and saw immediately not to order from Costco because of the lack of variability when designing your couch. Since variability is more or less the whole point of this, and I knew we’d want something less than standard, we decided to visit the showroom. Win #1.

We discuss on our walk to the showroom, while picking up a snack for our 1 year old, how much we were willing to spend. We priced our 6x8 with two storage seats at the 25% discount and knew our max. (We didn’t) The reason we didn’t buy online was because we wanted to feel the difference in the cushions and the angled sides. And I wanted to see what the StealthTech was all about.

We show up well versed in what we thought we wanted and had a happily eating baby. The show room was empty, so it made sampling the couches easy. The salespeople are really appreciative of taking your shoes off when you lay on the couch to sample nap time (Apparently this doesn’t happen often? Really?), and keeping your babies mess tightly contained. I am happy to report we successfully did both of those things.

We sampled the cushions and sides and picked the LoveSoft cushion with angled sides. We had him show us the StealthTech and it was really cool. Like REALLY cool, but we decided not to pull the trigger. We have a sound bar at home, and a nice set of wired speakers for our record player.

We decided to pull the purchase the 6x8 Sactional. The baby was getting antsy so I took her around the block to entertain her and let my wife make the significant design decisions. (Corded velvet in navy blue with two storage seats and fluffy white pillow cases they only had in store. I was very pleased). I came back to fill out the paperwork and give my wife and our daughter a change of scenery since I knew my wife was getting hungry and had zero interest in filling out an application.

3 years 0% isn’t what we had planned. So that was huge win #2 (kinda). I’m filling out what turned out to be a credit card application (I watched the manager yell at the employee for not making that clearer. I was... less than pleased, but would have still taken the TVM of 0%) and another family comes in and I get to hear the spiel all over again. They get to the StealthTech and turn the volume to the couch only and off the sound bar and you hear the volume drop in the surrounding room significantly, but you could still hear details on the couch, just softer. That is what got me. Just not right away. In reality, however, that’s not how it works. It is a little quieter since the speakers are across the room in a good way, but you still need the sound bar for watching tv. (Huge loss #1)

We were walking home with a fresh bottle for our daughter and I told my better half what I saw from a distance with another family trying the StealthTech. She was already interested, then I said ‘think about the movie immersion when watching Disney movies with the kids’. That was it. Done. As soon as I got home, I called to update the order. (Huge loss #1.5)

Apparently, once they hit submit, the order was placed. We had to update the order, not cancel and replace one. That's bad because it turns out parts of the StealthTech were back ordered. That, however, didn’t stop the rest of the order from coming in 3 total shipments. Once for 13 large boxes of the seats and such. Once for 3 boxes for non-speaker sides and pillows, and the last for 9 for all the StealthTech components. All over Christmas. With 2 being while we were out of town. ‘Twas a very pleasant, non stressful experience. /s

We ended up putting a vacation hold on the Fedex App and everything worked out. All that was sent was delivered. The unboxing and building is what it is. It sucks if you hate putting stuff together and get frustrated easily. I found it to be... there? I dunno. I was excited about my new couch, I was excited to not have the old couch, and I didn't really put much thought into the process while in said process.

A couple of key tricks I learned:

• With the StealthTech it is better to put the sides together first, not the seats and the sides. I had to put things together a few times, take them apart again before realizing this.

• The order of the cables is very important. If you plug all your cables into the unit first, make sure you dont mess the order up.

• If you have a wife that likes to wash things before using them, unpack the covers 24 hours before you actually plan to cover the couch. Do not do what I did and unpack the covers last for your wife to then say 'oh lets wash them first' while your old couch has been removed, and the new one is in pieces. They can't be dried, so hanging up the covers all around your house overnight is a bit of a delay and you wont have anywhere to sit.

• You need 4 people to comfortable lower an old sectional out of a second story door with 2” straps.

The Wrap-Up I kept seeing people say the Sactionals are bulky, and I didn't believe them. Then I saw it set up in my house and realized 'damn, thing really is bulky, isn't it?'. I see less expensive couches out there, but I didn't love them, and they dont have the speakers built in. Do I need a 8 speakers and a subwoofer built into my couch? No. But since we can afford it, do I think it's really REALLY cool? Yes. Is it audiophile quality sound? No, they are Bluetooth. We have our hardwired speakers for that. The couch is extremely comfortable. My wife is pleased with it. The baby loves running on it, and I find the built in conveniences like our two charging stations and hidden storage incredibly convenient.

I'm so happy we went to the showroom instead of ordering from Costco. Our sales people were very on top of the order, even will all the chaos that came from us altering our order. They let us know before fedex did when a label had been created. Followed up to see how assembly went. Asked why there hadn't been any movement from fedex while we had our vacation hold to ensure nothing was going wrong. Great great job. (less the new guy not telling me I was getting a credit card)

I also play racing games when I have time. In Forza 8, it was awesome to hear the car online be right beside you on clearly the left side, slowly fade back to directly behind you, then move to the right, miss his breaking point and not down downshifting told me he he was dive-bombing. I delayed my turn-in to take the middle of the corner instead of the apex, and that gave him time to fly by, and go into the wall and not take me with him.

Warnings: The 0% is a credit card. If you do this and are buying something, request double the amount you think you need. We got approved for less than our final purchase because we didn’t add the StealthTech to start. So we maxed out that credit card and that took our credit down 100 points. We currently don’t have a reason to care about that, but be aware.

The StealthTech headunit has had to be powered off and powered on to connect to my phone for 7 out of 8 days. This is annoying. Thanks again to Reddit, not unexpected.

Our navy blue couch makes everything black disappear. Remotes, phones, blankets, everything. More so than I expected. We had to put neon orange tape on our remotes to be able to find them.

10/10 would do again.

Does anyone have any regrets about purchasing a sactional? I would like to get one but a price tag of over $6000 (after discounts) has me nervous.

If you’re considering purchasing, take this with a grain of salt! If you’ve already purchased, add your thoughts (even if they’re as manic as mine)

• don’t take your young children with you. They will climb all over everything and you won’t make the proper considerations.

• when testing the sofa, act like you’re at home. Pull your feet up, lounge, lay on it. Or you’ll be like me and get the standard size initially when truly you want the deep seats and you’ll have to exchange stuff and it’s a pain in the butt.

• make sure to pick a fill. We didn’t, and we were actually upsold on the “lovesoft” which we wouldn’t have picked because my husband has spinal issues. We just assumed the standard would in fact be standard (and the boxes sat in our garage for weeks while waiting). But also we were refunded $800 (again, don’t take the kids bc you won’t notice 💸)

• delivery takes a while. And sometimes in several deliveries.

• make sure you actually receive everything and don’t start unboxing until you do, because chaos.

• watch the videos of the inventor putting them together. It will save you so much time and heartache.

• unbox and sort everything. Be tedious about this

• this will take you HOURS. Even if you’re working your butt off. You will regret your choices very very early.

• the thought “I can’t believe I spent this much money and they don’t even offer install” will go through your mind while you drop your 15th f bomb while bending your nail backwards trying to get the cover on.

• they don’t go together as well as you think. The thought of stomping on it will go through your head and actually that is something you should act on (the dude even does that in the videos)

• have some kind of alcohol on hand (unless you don’t drink, and then I suggest having a punching bag that you’ll be too tired to hit anyway)

• it takes a hot minute for the sofa to actually feel comfortable. You’ll think seriously about returning it until the daunting realization that you would have to box it all back up is too intimidating to consider. You should definitely let your kids run all over it or borrow kids to do this for you. It really helps.

• its not nearly as versatile as you imagined it would be. Ours really only goes into one configuration without having to purchase additional things or store others.

• the recliner kind of sucks. Not to mention you’re going to lose the remote.

• you’re not going to be cleaning under it because it’s a pain in the butt to move. Put blockers to prevent stuff from going under. It’ll drive you crazy (trust me, as I am crazy)

• the first time you wash it, its going to give you a PTSD feeling (this is a joke, I understand the gravity of ptsd and have some myself, but dark humor is my wingman) of when you first got this together. And it’ll be a full day thing because you’re not supposed to use a dryer. And it’ll take 10 hours to dry.

• you’ll wish you could have multiple covers for it but that is a pipe dream because they’re so expensive

So. Do I like it? Yes. Do I love it? Ehhh. We bought two sofas at the same time, one upstairs and one downstairs (finished basement). The downstairs one is from Ashley, was around 1/6 of the price. Came put together and delivered inside. Just as comfortable. Or maybe I like it better from the above mentioned things. Who really knows at this point. Is it growing on me though? Yes. It’s such an amazing movie night sofa. It’s definitely a cuddle couch. But we have it so there’s a queen size bed on the end at all times. We wondered about how that would be when company came over, but ultimately decided that we like the configuration regardless of if guests are comfortable lol.

Please let me begin this post by saying that this is not a hate post: this post is about being blown away by current prices. 10 years ago I bough a movie sac bundled with a sport cover for 230 dollars. It’s been the best piece of furniture we have ever had and I’m quite happy with it. Today a friend of mine finally moved to a bigger place and asked about my “bean bag, how much she loves it whenever she comes to visit and how she wants to get one” and I kindly told her “it’s not a bean bag it’s a love sac, and I paid around 230 dollars, bear in mind it was 10 years ago it must have gone up in price” a few hours later she replies with “2000 + dollars? Did you buy it used? No way it costs that much and you paid 200 usd” I could not believe her so I visited the page and to my surprise, she was right. What happened? I mean; like I said we love our movie sac but I’m not sure it’s worth 2000+ dollars Is it a different movie sac from the one I bought 10 years ago? Was the company sold and someone revamped it and jacked up the prices? Really curious on why the price difference

I’m looking to buy a sactional in the near future, and I visited my local Costco to sit on the couch in person for the first time. The sales rep told me that the 6+8 bundle with lovesoft fill in the fabric I want would be $6799.

When I went on the lovesac site to price out the couch to price compare, it was only $100 cheaper for just the couch and same number of storage seats that come with the Costco bundle. And that’s supposedly with the 30% off deal? Regularly the couch on its own would be almost $9500?

I can’t tell if this is a classic tale of marking up the price to make it look like the couch is on sale but it actually isn’t, or if the price of the couch truly went up that much and the Costco bundle is really that good of a deal, and maybe it doesn’t reflect the new price of the couch?

Any insight?

Went to the local lovesac store a few days ago, had them build us a quote for a 6 seat 8 side sactional. The guy working there said that a 40% off sale (35 plus the 5 heros) just ended, and that was the first time in 5 years he had seen a discount that much. Is that true? Or should we hold off for the next 35% discount to come around? Currently have a 30% off lovesac emailed us yesterday.

Howdy folks! I am in the market for a new sofa/loveseat combo, or sectional. I came across the Lovesac Sactionals and they look very appealing and comfortable, but I have no way to test them out due to store closures right now. My girlfriend can get a 40% off deal because she is a healthcare worker, which is great, but I have read mixed reviews. People either seem to love them or hate them, and there are very few long-term reviews. Does anyone have an honest opinion of your sactional now that you have had it for a while? I'm mostly concerned about long-term comfort and durability of the cushions. Do they go flat after a year and need constant refluffing?
