I'm from Romania and we don't have support for our country per se but my account's region is set to UK. Looking online for game codes, I've found that the Argentina ones are the cheapest.

How can I redeem these codes on my system if I'm not from Latin America?

My cousin had the bad luck of buying the Game Pass Ultimate with an Indian code last night without knowing that Microsoft was blocking redemptions with codes from other countries. Even using a VPN, changing the account location and so on, he still couldn't redeem the code.

I felt bad for him because he spent his money and couldn't redeem the code. The guy works hard, doesn't earn much, but he's a humble and very good person, I didn't want the money he spent to be wasted. He contacted the company he bought it from but they haven't responded yet.

Anyway, could anyone say if there's a way to redeem the code? Even with this Microsoft block?

Edit: some people said this is new and wasn't happening to them, that's because this block started yesterday (2/19/25) at 5 PM here in Brazil, only for Game Pass Core and Ultimate subscriptions. And I found a way to redeem the codes:

1. Using another account created with a VPN in India and using the India location when creating the new account.

2. Changing the account location to India (or any other country where you bought the code) and waiting a few hours (it may take up to 24 hours) and then trying to redeem the code.

For me, both methods worked. I hope you guys can do it too!!

hi ! does anyone know how to create an argentinian microsoft account to redeem an xbox code? I tried using urban vpn but it wouldnt let me create one (I think they manage to know my real location)
