April 11, 2024 - I myself use Redshift for tendering projects on a daily basis and recently purchased a new render node with lots of GPUs. When you build a new PC or render node for rendering, there is no way around digging deep into benchmarks. Cinebench Scores are great for comparing CPU Rendering performance, but if you use Redshift heavily, these benchmark results will be invaluable: Note that new Redshift versions are coming out every couple of weeks, which might perform better or worse than the scores below.

By default, the Redshift Benchmark uses a block size (aka "bucket size" : see System - Advanced) of 128x128 pixels. To use different bucket sizes, use the "blocksize" parameter. Below is an example using 256x256 pixel buckets.

load-tpc-ds - Test the performance of Redshift Serverless with the popular TPC-DS derived benchmark. This benchmark loads the data from an S3 bucket and run n number of concurrent queries using Amazon Redshift rsql.

And obviously, given that Redshift is a CUDA renderer, there are no scores for AMD cards. Availability The benchmark utility is available as part of the latest Redshift 2.5.19 alpha builds.

January 9, 2023 - Data providers can list and offer products containing Amazon Redshift datasets in the AWS Data Exchange catalog, granting subscribers direct, read-only access to the data stored in Amazon Redshift. This feature empowers customers to quickly query, analyze, and build applications with these third-party datasets. TPC-DS is a commonly used benchmark for measuring the query performance of data warehouse solutions such as Amazon Redshift.

December 30, 2025 - Cinebench 2026 uses the latest Redshift rendering engine, which introduces a heavier, more complex workload than previous versions and is well-suited to Cinema 4D 2026. The company says users can more accurately predict how their hardware will behave in Cinema 4D 2026 based on Cinebench results, since both use the same rendering tech. Maxon also adds a new test that measures the performance of SMT-enabled CPU cores. It's worth noting that Cinebench 2026 scores can't be compared with scores from Cinebench 2024, as Maxon changed the rendering engine, workload, and scoring method.
