I wanna buy a Google Pixel 7 or 8 off Amazon to replace my current phone. I can save between $150-$200 by buying a renewed one, but I have some concerns.
I read that they can come with malware or bloatware on them that would survive a factory reset, and I'm concerned about possible quality issues. Just curious, is it ok to buy renewed or should I make sure to buy one new?
I'm traveling to the USA, and one of the items on my shopping list is a renewed Pixel 7 Pro, which is available for less than $500 on Amazon. l'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on this choice.
Though I understand that the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are out, but considering my budget constraints and the fact that believe the upgrades might not be substantial, I'm leaning toward getting a premium device from the previous generation. The Pixel7 Pro seems like a fantastic option, with a great camera, impressive performance, and the stock Android experience we all love - I am a Pixel user for years.
So, my questions to you are:
Have any of you purchased renewed or refurbished phones on Amazon before? How was your experience?
Is the Pixel 7 Pro still a solid choice for those looking for a high-quality device, even with the new models on the market? What has been your experience with the latest updates - did they fix the battery drain or made it worse?
l'd greatly appreciate your insights and recommendations.
