Is it worth buying a refurbished iPhone 13 Pro in 2025?

Been looking for a 15 pro max and wanted to see if anyone has purchased from Amazon, Apple refurbished site, backmarket, eBay etc.
Just as the title reads. (My post might be more EU specific)
I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I am genuinely confused as to why people spend 1000 euros or more on brand new iPhones (even the fact that Apple can get away with charging that much for a phone that cannot offer that much; for 700/800 euros maybe....but more than 1000eur?? no way) when you can just buy a model that's two generations older and refurbished?
Currently looking to buy iPhone 15, and just looking at the Amazon refurbished models makes a difference of 300 euros. The Amazon refurbished phone is around 500eur and the new ones are 800eur (to me that's an insane price for a new phone, let alone one that's already a few years old now).
How do people (students for the most part) afford to buy such expensive phones? Everyone who I've met don't seem to buy refurbished phones only new models or older ones (but brand new) which are still so expensive.... Even if you have the money, the difference between iPhone 14 or 16 is not even that big to justify upgrading.
I've been an android user all my life, only now I am considering switching (so this isn't me bashing iphone at all, they seem to last longer, get more software updates etc.), but looking at the prices I just couldn't believe my eyes.... so many people around me (students) own them but how??? where do they get the money from? Is there a secret third way... is everyone just rich?
I know some people buy them through their network providers and pay in installments....but still that comes to the full price eventually... why not just buy a refurbished phone in excellent condition and change the battery or sth?
So far I know of swappa, back market, gazelle and amazon. I just want to make the right choice between them. TIA. Btw I’m willing to spend $250-270 on a decent iPhone that will last a while.
Hello, I’d like to buy a refurbished iPhone 13 Pro (this would be my first iPhone).
Since the iPhone 13 series was released in 2021, does it still make sense as a purchase? How many years would a refurbished one in excellent condition last? (At least, "excellent" is the condition selected on the website).
Also, I saw that the 256GB version supports 4K video, while the 128GB version does not. However, I’m not sure if the only requirement for 4K is having 256GB, or if there’s another "model" of the 13 Pro specifically designed for 4K
