I'm not sure regarding the legality of the situation, but I don't think there is any risk of deactivation, even if microsoft could detect this, are the computers purchased to be used privately or for a corporation? If the latter then I'd ask your IT department, if the former then if it were me I'd just use them and not say anything. More on reddit.com

I bought a used laptop from eBay. It is currently running Windows 11 Pro - it came like that. The sticker on the bottom says "Windows 10 Pro for Refurb PCs" and "COA for Refurbished PCs only - no commercial value". How do I get Windows 10 Pro on the computer? I've tried looking up details but it's confusing to me. I've read about someone trying to install Windows 10 Pro and getting Windows 10 Home instead: Windows 10 Pro for refurbished PC - Microsoft Community I watched a youtube video on downgrading from 11 to 10, but that didn't include details about refurbished PCs. I don't understand how product keys work or what a default key is or what it means to have the operating system key built into the BIOS. I don't want to mess the computer up by blazing ahead without knowing what I'm doing. So please, if you could explain or point me to a webpage that covers the topic, I would be grateful!

Why not remain on Windows 11? It's the latest operating system from Microsoft and will be in support for longer. In most cases, Windows 11 is more stable then Windows 10.
