Hello. Today I had my computer formatted and installed Windows 10 Pro. The version is 10.0.10586. The Microsoft Store didn't open, I got a screen saying "try that again". I tried to solve this problem, I tried a few solutions and then I typed the following command into the command line and hit enter:
PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"
After doing so, the Microsoft Store was removed. I tried to install it again but I couldn't. Help me.

How to reinstall Microsoft Store after being uninstalled on Windows 11?
So after imaging my windows 10 computer. I need to install windows photos from the app store… however I had to remove the app store so i could run sysprep on my image. Well I am having a hard time trying to get the windows store to come back on these computers so i can install windows photo. I have followed so many guides on how to reinstall the Microsoft store app. For some reason i just can not get it to reinstall for the life of me. it’s like there is no trace of the store left on the computers to reinstall it.
Has anyone ran in to this issue and if so how can i get the Microsoft store back.
its not supported to uninstall then reinstall the Store.
Your best to reinstall Windows.
you can SYSPREP an image with the Store installed.
Thank you.
You have a few options here.
- See if you have the Xbox app. If so, launch it, go through the initial set up or whatnot. Once all the way in, it might provide you a list of items with a yellow warning indicating issue with them. It might also provide you an installation option to install it. See if Store app is one of them. If so, you should be able to install it from there.
- Go to Start > All apps, locate Powershell, right click and "run as admin". Run this command:
Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
- If the computer was just set up out of box, you can also consider a factory reset to start over. Hold down Shift key while you choose Windows restart, then go to Troubleshoot > REset this PC.
- Repair install is another option. To perform a repair istallation of Windows 11 using the Windows Media Creation Tool:
The following steps should be done on a working Windows computer:
Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's official website. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win... click on the "download now" button under "Create Windows 11 Installation Media"
Run the tool and select "Create installation media for another PC."
Choose "USB flash drive" as the media to use for the installation and select "Next."
Connect a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space to your computer.
Select the USB flash drive you want to use, and then select "Next."
The tool will then download the required files and create the installation media.
=====================================================
Now these steps will be done on your problematic computer:
Go to the USB drive via File Explorer, locate and run the Setup.exe file. Ideally, you should disconnect all USB and Bluetooth devices other than mouse and keyboard. Disable any 3rd party antivirus program. Disconnect the internet.
Once you run the Setup.exe file, choose the Install option, and the choose the option that keeps your files and apps.
Hello, this is Emily.
Is this a brand new computer (no former user) or a refurbished/used computer? Just want to make sure if it might be due to group policy issue, especially if previous owner is a business.
Also, can you please type winver in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, when launched, share a screenshot please?
Thanks!

It failed to work, leaving only a red message
