The new version of Outlook is such garbage and I can’t seem to get the old version. Does anybody have a way for me to get it? I can’t believe how much functionality has been removed and how terrible the “new” product is. I’m so sick of every company’s “improvements” being a stripped away piece of trash. WTF are the morons at Microsoft smoking???
Hello Mary
Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.
If you are asking about how to "only" re-install Outlook, that is not possible if you are using a current version of Office which is an all or nothing install/uninstall process.
Re reinstall Office, you need to log into your Microsoft Account associated with Office, click on and download / install from there

With that out of the way, may I ask why you want to re-install Outlook? Many people think that re-installing Outlook will resolve Outlook profile email related issues and that is not the case in 99% of the cases. If you reason for doing this is because you want to "start fresh" - there is no need to reinstall.
Will gladly provide this information once I know what exactly it is that you are trying to accomplish
I am getting a yellow triangle icon when I try to open my outlook email. The message is Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file C/User/Jilln/OneDrive/Documents/OutlookFiles/******@att.net.pst cannot be opened.
There is an ok box that leads nowhere.
How do I fix this problem. I cannot access my email.
Thanks,
JN
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to some concern about how to restore new Outlook, I forked the following script and updated it so that it gives the option to revert the modifications. I've tested it personally and it should work flawlessly. Here's the new link :
Ryarralk/OutlookRemover: A little batch file that removes the Outlook (New) app from Windows 10/11 (github.com)
For the lazy ones, the ZIP file : OutlookRemover.zip

Since a couple of days ago, I've had New Outlook trying to force itself down my throat once again.
"It's only a little inconvenience," I thought, until I found out that they had entirely removed the "Try New Outlook" button and forced Mail & Calendar to directly open that mess of an app.
At first, I just uninstalled it and put Mail & Calendar back in place again, but then I found out that it was reinstalling itself every time I opened Mail & Calendar, forcing New Outlook to open.
I decided to declare war against New Outlook. I may not have the ads and have access to the fully-fledged Outlook Classic, but I still prefer Mail & Calendar for its simplicity. Yes, WinoMail exists, but it differs from the original.
After a bit of searching, I found a script on GitHub that had a genius idea: spoof the App Packager into thinking that we already have that terrible web wrapper. I would recommend to make sure that you have New Outlook forced installed before doing it, just in case.
Here's a fork of the original (doesn't support 32bit, but since it's a thing of the past): SempaiRock/OutlookRemover: a little batch file that permanently removes the Outlook (New) app from Windows 10/11 (github.com)
If you really need the 32 bit version: matej137/OutlookRemover: a little batch file that permanently removes the Outlook (New) app from Windows 10/11 (github.com)
Here's the download link: https://github.com/SempaiRock/OutlookRemover/releases/download/1.0/RemoveOutlook.zip
Execute as administrator and enjoy Mail & Calendar free from being constantly replaced by New Outlook.
Also, if you enjoy New Outlook, I do have something for you too! A patcher to make your New Outlook experience more pleasant.

Here's the realease link (since it may have multiple versions): Releases · valinet/NewOutlookPatcher (github.com)

I keep getting the message that Outlook has run into an error and can no longer work correctly. Multiple times I have chosen the "Fix Now" but nothing happens. The program continues to randomly shut down. I believe this started after a recent update but am not sure if and when that happened. Since it is not fixing itself, hoping a reinstall will fix problem but not sure how to do it.
I had 2 different choices for document because I was trying to find a saved document. The 1st choice didn't have the saved document so I went to the other one. The info was in the 2nd choice. I wrote down the info & then clicked on the "X" to go to a different site. My outlook went into "shock" & hasn't worked since. I unplugged the whole computer & everything plugged into the same receptacle & it went through re-boot but still no outlook & NO email either. I haven't added or changed anything recently. I've been in the hospital with a broken leg & rehab & didn't have much time for anything. Myself & who knows how many others, are scarred. This for me who is really isolated, is dangerously depressing but I'm trapped until I can get a technician that is NOT free & I can't possibly move the pc with me using a cane. For me this is a huge psychological threat! Who knows when I can possibly find someone.
