My license was suspended for 6 months, 7 months ago. (Class c misdemeanor for possession of marijuana) I can’t figure out how to get it back. When I look in the license eligibility page the Texas DMV website takes you to it says I can drive and owe no fees or have any requirements, but it said this even when my license was suspended and I was under the impression I would have to pay reinstatement fees and get SR22 insurance. Any advice? Or does anyone know who I can call? I feel like this is a trap lol

If the website says eligible, you can drive, but you need a license. Just go online and get one because you "lost it." Seriously, this will work. Try it and report back. It should take 2-3 weeks to arrive, but you'll get a receipt that you can print out and keep with you in your car when driving.

You’re good to go, just need to go redo your driving test and stuff. You will have to do the new requirements before you can reapply for your license. I just went through the same process. If you had a red error saying to contact omnibase then you wouldn’t be able to do anything. Also check texasfailuretoappear.com it will have any citations or anything linked to your DL.

Hello,
Back in 2011 I got in a car accident when I was 17 speeding and crashing into another vehicle. I was issued 2 tickets (fail to control speed, no motor vehicle liability insurance), and did not show up to court. I had received a warrant which has since been paid off, along with any fees on TX license websites. The license eligibility page still shows that I'm not eligible though, and has the information listed below. Is there anything I can do to unsuspend my license? Not sure what most of this means, and it's been over 12 years since the accident.

I did a quick search. The Judgement liability seems to stem from a civil lawsuit. If you didn't have insurance, they sued you civilly, got a judgement, and due to that, suspended your DL. You need to search the courts to find if you were sued. You then need to find a way to settle it (or pay it). You already lost the lawsuit. Judge found in their favor. Best bet would be talk to a DL reinstatement attorney and have them walk you through it.

IANAL but my read on this is that the suspension is permanent unless one of the listed events takes place. Seems like #5 might be what you are looking for. Obviously contact a lawyer to submit for the suspension being lifted. An SR-22 is a form that's filed with your state to prove that you have car insurance meeting the minimum coverages required by law. Also known as a "Certificate of Financial Responsibility," Having an SR-22 means expensive insurance. You also have to find an insurer who will accept it as not all of them do.
