There is a knack to inserting GPUs like this. In your picture, the bits to the right should slide past the motherboard. Notice in this picture ( http://www.slcentral.com/ahanix-dbox-silver-pc-case/internal-expansion.jpg ) that there are holes/slots in the motherboard tray - this is where those lugs on your graphics card has to fit. The I/O-Shield of my Club3D R9 180X is actually a bit too long wide to fit into the case/mainboard. I have basically two options (apart from returning the card, which is something i don't really want to do):

Cut the part off that is too long. Not preferred since it will remove the warranty.
-
Removing the I/O-Shield from the GPU and use none.
I'm really leaning towards removing it, but I decided I should ask whether it will have any bad effect on the PC if I do.

Should I just forget about it or maybe stick it in the wrong way with double sided tape? Idk what to do ... You are going to want to remove the gpu, all of the cables connecting to the motherboard, remove the motherboard, put the I/O shield on and put it all back together.

I'd say its possible. I/O shields aren't that thick so you wouldn't have to move the motherboard very far to fit it in. You might have to use something other then your finger to make sure the shield is clicked all the way in though.

If it has a built-in IO shield, it's possible that was misaligned at the factory and sticks out too far. In that case you'll need to remove the board and loosen the IO shield screws on the back of the board to reposition it.
