According to Google, all I need to do is:
- go to Menu Account -> Domains -> Manage domains.
- Find the domain that you're removing and click Remove
- Click Remove Domain to confirm.
However when I navigate to this page there is no "remove" option.
All I see is "change primary domain" or "set up redirect".
Does anyone know why the remove option is not there?

It sounds like the remove button is missing because that is your only domain in Google Workspace, or you have no secondary domains. You must promote a secondary domain to be the new primary before removing the current primary domain.

This is my understanding as well. https://cloud.google.com/resource-manager/docs/creating-managing-organization The same user (w/new username) should automatically assume the same rights over the 'Organization' ... just like it does w/Gmail. If it were me I would probably grant full rights to critical projects to another external account just in case. I've changed more Primary domains than I can count and I've never had anything GCP-related come back to bite me. #knockonwood

Hi guys,
I've found a lot of information online about changing the primary domain of a Google workspace. However, I can't find any information regarding emails with the change of primary domain.
On this Google workspace account, there are active emails where the primary domain will be changed. I understand that domain aliases will be created from the old domain automatically.
Will the emails within the mailboxes be as they were before the primary domain change? Or, with the new domain, does it mean they will have new inboxes?
