January 31, 2021Would you rather have a glider with ottoman or a recliner for the nursery?
In my first nursery, I had a rocking glider that reclined. Keep in mind, I don’t think there are any where you can rock while reclined. I have a day bed in the room so there didn’t end up being much use for reclining, especially since laying there reclined with the baby could be dangerous. For my second, I skipped the reclining function. I don’t have an ottoman, but it would be nice. Having my feet up while pumping, nursing, maybe bottle feeding is better ergonomically for some neck issues I seem to be prone to. So definitely glide + ottoman Btw the reason I avoided anything with rocking chair style legs is my cat would definitely end up hurting herself More on reddit.com

Hi all, would love some opinions from experienced second/third/etc-time moms. I’ve been regularly stalking fb marketplace for a glider. I specifically want a slipcovered track arm style. I’ve finally found one for a few hundred .. but here’s my concern: It doesn’t come with a matching ottoman, and this particular chair has been discontinued, so it’s unlikely I’ll ever find a matching one. For those of you who have gliders, would a gliding ottoman be a deal breaker for you? I’ve seen Pinterest pics of gliders/rockers with poufs or other stationary footrests, but I can’t seem to find any opinions on how well that works. Also, if anyone has this type of glider (RH baby swivel glider) and loves or hates it, would appreciate your feedback. Thanks for any advice!

We received a used glider from my husband’s brother. Cushions were in bad shape and I was convinced we should just buy a whole new one. My husband is frugal (I call him a cheapskate 😂)and he insisted on finding new cushions online. He bought a set for $100 on eBay (or Amazon, don’t remember) and they work surprisingly well and are pretty comfy. I was pleasantly surprised.
