Hi all! We've had a NÄMMARÖ outdoor patio set for about a year and we really like it - however the cushions from IKEA, the KUDDARNA ones, just fall apart. We have been through 3 sets and I am just tired of them falling apart after a month.
Does anyone have any alternative suggestions for the cushions and backrests? I'm having trouble finding any online that are the correct size.

Does anyone else have a problem finding replacement cushions for their outdoor wicker conversation sets? I've been trying for about 5 years now, and I can't find anything that's less than the cost of repurchasing a whole set. I don't want to do that and create a big pile of waste, my current furniture is just fine. I just need replacement cushions or another idea!

Outdoor cushions do seem to be ridiculously expensive! I just recover a lot of my cushions myself. My best project cost-wise was when I found a huge outdoor furniture cover at Ikea in the clearance bin for $9; I carefully took it apart at the seams, cut it to fit the 4 cushions I needed, and because I unfortunately don’t sew, used my hot glue gun instead. Turned out great and the fabric is higher quality than many replacement cushions I’ve seen for too much money. I’ve also just bought upholstery fabric by the yard and cushion foam at Joann or Hobby Lobby and it’s still much cheaper.

My wife took the worn out material out of the cushions and replaced it with memory foam. Works great and is cheap.

I'm hoping that someone from Ikea will see this, as I just had a horrible experience at one of their stores. Long story short, our dog destroyed one of the cushions to our Vimle sectional, just completely tore it up while we were washing the cover. I proceeded to go to our local Ikea customer service and told them the situation. They rudely stated that they don't sell replacement cushions and then turned their back on me. I asked them again what I should do then and they said "maybe you should buy a new couch, because that's the only way you can get a new cushion". I was literally speechless at that point and proceeded to walk out.
So right now we are basically left with only part of a very expensive couch. Is there anyone out there that can assist me with getting a new cushion and the white slip cover that goes over them?
*I also called Ikea customer service and when I finally did get in touch with someone, they told me I needed to go to the store, lol.

Ikea doesn't sell replacement cushions nor do they provide them. If the cushions have a warranty-able issue (something like the foam turns to dust within a month) they replace the entire unit. Support a local upholsterer and get some foam.

So the thing is, for Vimle, the cushions were sold separately. The seat cushion is called Karhult and the back cushion is called Manstorp. If you are outside of North America, you should be able to buy one of these cushions from the coworker in Living Rooms. They don't appear as a listing online but they have their own article numbers so they can be sold separately. In North America, Vimle was replaced by Finnala, and the cushions became Stackmora and Saleboda. These cushions are a little bigger than the Vimle cushions but could work if you're desperate.

You're talking an average of $50 PER CUSHION for a thin little thing. Seriously, I want to know, what makes these so expensive? I would have assumed ~25 for a good one, but you can't find a cushion with a back for less than $40. I have to buy 6 of these!
