For more info, see Resetting your product. Try connecting your product with a different USB cable to determine if there is an issue with the first cable. When connected to power, your product plays a tone. If you plug in but don't hear a tone, try plugging in another device (e.g. a lamp) to the same power outlet to confirm the outlet works. Charge times can vary based on the charger.

This is likely a common software fault. Basically the system can’t make sense of its own battery level. It can be fixed with a software update via a USB cable to a computer and the Bose website.

This is a super common issue apparently. I JUST finished going through this. Trouble shooting: make sure you have the firmware update. This should work even if the unit won’t hold a charge. It will say on the website when the unit is plugged in. hard reset: with either the multifunction button (3 dots) or power button. Make sure your speaker is plugged into power. Hold ONE of the buttons for 10-15 seconds, unplug and release the button, plug it back in. You may need to repeat multiple times. The speaker should show some signs of functioning (Bluetooth and power buttons light up, or speaker “battery low” response). hard reset: ALL BUTTONS. Do this only if 2) is unsuccessful. Going through the buttons one at a time (I pushed mine in this order: multifunction, power, audio up, then the rest, I don’t think order really matters), do a hard reset. Make sure the speaker is plugged into power. For each button individually, hold for 10-15 seconds, unplug from power, release the button, plug it back in, until you’ve done this with all the buttons. This is what turned mine back on. The firmware update should hopefully prevent you from going through this again, but unfortunately this is a well known bug with the sound link colour 2. I had to do option 2) for 10+ minutes and then switched to option 3. This whole process (firmware update included) took 30+ minutes. Edit to add: some people say you have to be plugged into a computer. Option 3) was done on a computer outlet. I’m not entirely sure it makes a difference. After getting it to hold the charge (amber blinking light), I was able to successfully unplug from my pc and move it to an outlet. It’s working fine now!

Next press the Power button to turn the SoundLink Mini speaker back on. Many Bluetooth enabled devices have an option where the Bluetooth feature can be turned on or off. It may be set to off to save the battery life of the device. Be sure this option is set to on. If the speaker is paired to the Bluetooth enabled device, it should automatically reconnect when its Bluetooth function is turned on. If the Bose product doesn't automatically reconnect, manually select the Bose product within the Bluetooth list on the device.

Hi, · Try the following checks to see if the problem is in the charger, the charger cable or the speaker. · 1. Connect the speaker with the charger USB cable to a USB port on a working PC/laptop. (the user guide shows that the charger cable, USB cable standard plug charger end, micro USB plug speaker end, can be unplugged from the charger). · If the speaker charging light comes on then the charger is faulty and needs to be replaced. · You can charge the speaker by connecting it to a PC/laptop, however it will take longer to fully charge as there is less current being supplied by the PC/laptop than the charger. You can also use any charger e.g. from a mobile phone, provided it has an output (printed on the charger) of 5VDC (definitely not more or less) and a current output of 0.5-1.0A (500mA-1000mA) and that it has a micro USB connector. · 2. Connect a different USB cable between the PC/laptop and the speaker. · If the speaker charging light comes on then the USB cable is faulty and needs to be replaced. · If the speaker charging light still doesn't come on after trying the above checks then the problem is in the speaker. It could be the speaker charging port, the charging circuit or the battery. The speaker will have to be opened and checked to ascertain what the problem is.
