I recently ordered the Rest cooling sheets and the matching comforter as well. Damn... what a great investment! They are incredibly soft, and they feel amazing.
My mattress, and pillow are also cooling, so they work great together. Perfect for the desert!
Definitely going to order another set in the future!
Do not buy from this company. It's my fault; I fell for the social media ads.
Their "cooling pillow" came extremely flat and was no colder than my $30 Amazon pillow. Their "cooling sheet" was way hotter than basic sheets I got from Walmart.
Worst part is, to return the items, you need the original box! I called and they said they can't do returns then without the original box. I had to find the original box and pack them that way. They also ask for photo evidence that it was the original box. I took the photos with my iPhone and tried to attach the photos to their portal but it said the files were "too large." What? How do you attach photos then? With a polaroid?
It's clearly a shady and sleazy tactic to stop refunds.
I sent the refund via UPS. 2 weeks later, I did not receive my refund. I emailed them and they said it was successfully returned. It's week 3 and I still haven't received my refund. I emailed them again and said I will dispute the charge. They didn't respond.
The company also has no google reviews and no info on their headquarters. EXTREMELY SHADY AND SLEAZY DO NOT FALL FOR THE ADS!

Anyone have experience with both and can help compare?
I just got the Rest and it feels soft… looked at the West Elm one in store and that felt similarly soft. Main worry is if these duvet \ quilts start pilling after washing. Last blanket we bought pilled after one wash. Any other thoughts on pros and cons between these two are much appreciated!
I purchased a duvet and sheet set. First, they lost it. Then, I received it, but it was a hassle, so I decided to return it. I had trouble creating a return label, but I managed to do it after some effort-long wait on customer service phone calls. I returned everything in its original packaging on July 22, and I still have not received my return, totaling almost $400. Has anyone else experienced this issue and received a refund? What should I do since they are not responding to my inquiries?
I'm looking for something more cooling, as I get so warm at night. My room is the warmest in the house and I've tested it several degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the living room. I have the vent blowing but it doesn't work well.
Well I have a cotton comforter but it's a bit thick and I'm thinking to swap it out. Every brand I look into seems to have pros and then there is one or several comments with major cons. Here is what I've looked into so far.
Peru Pima: This one flew under the radar and I wasn't able to find much online but the people who had them did love them. I found a few comments saying they lost their softness after a wash and began to pill.
Rest Evercool: This one has tons of controversy, not being cooling, customer service, pilling, etc. At a glance it looks perfect but I'm not inclined to buy based on price and complaints.
Aeptom Eucalyptus Lyocell Comforter: An option I found after some digging but doesn't have much to back it up.
Sijo Clima TempTune Comforter: This comforter seems to fit the bill but there are complaints of returning and customer service being a nightmare.
And then there's a lot of opinions and reviews saying bamboo, but bamboo is really rayon and bad for you, cotton is the way to go, but then that rabbit hole goes deep too :P
Having to weed out who actually enjoys their comforter, and who is a paid ad, damn! What a world we live in. I feel bad for those who are less internet-savvy.
Can anyone recommend a cooling comforter or blanket that is high quality and not super thick? (if it's thick but cooling that's fine [I'm looking for something to keep me cool]).
TLDR: I can't find a good cooling comforter. Can anyone recommend or do you have any reviews based on the brands I mentioned?
Rest's customer service is inadequate. It took a week to receive a response, and I had to call them repeatedly to obtain a return authorization.
Before making a purchase, it's important to thoroughly read Rest's return policy. Returns can be complicated and often come with strict instructions. If these instructions are not followed, you may not receive a full refund.
I learned this the hard way. I should have kept the "free" pillowcases, as they deducted the full amount of $59.00 plus tax from my purchase total, even though I never opened the box or used them.
Unfortunately, the comforter did not provide the cool comfort it advertised, which prompted me to initiate the return. I do not recommend either the comforter or the pillowcases.
I currently have the Parachute all season down duvet insert with the West Elm Silky Tencel duvet cover. I live in Texas and my second floor gets incredibly hot. I wake up drenched in sweat every night. Any recommendations on a different duvet insert?! Thanks!
Any issues with doing so? I know it says to remove from washer and hang to dry, but I’d love it if I could just throw it in the dryer.
Also, if anyone here has tried this. Please let me know what setting and for how long you’re drying cycle was and if it had any effect on the comforter or the cooling technology. TIA!!
Looking for recs for a nice cooling king size comforter.
My husband and I are roasting each other.
Looking to spend upwards of $250-300
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
My husband is an extremely hot sleeper. He’ll wake up sweaty at night, or move around so much trying to cool off that he ends up waking me up. The last 2 weeks I’ve been consistently waking up around 2-3AM, due to his moving around. After that, I’m wide awake the rest of the day. I’m slowly losing it. I used to love sleeping, I looked forward to going to bed. Now, it’s starting to give me anxiety.
Main question: What materials are the best for super hot sleepers? Ideally, I’d be looking for a sheet set, and comforter.
In addition to sheets, I’m curious if there’s other things / methods I can buy / try to help him stay cooled off at night. I came across something called a BedJet, which, from what I’ve seen, blows cool/warm air under the fitted sheet? Not sure if that’d be worth a try.
I’ll buy anything at this point, I just want to be able to sleep through the night again. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Edit:
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and ideas! You all taught me something new, so I really appreciate that.
I purchased the following :
Percale sheet set from Brooklinen
Rest, Evercool cooling comforter
I’ll probably be coughing out money for the BedJet system, first I want to see how we do with this change. The sleep eight system someone mentioned was nuts, but way out of my budget. Maybe something for the far future…
I’ll update if I remember to on how we’re doing!
Update 8/16/24
My husband did have sleep apnea, and he now has a neat little machine that pushes air in when it senses resistance while he’s sleeping. Thanks to all of you who suggested it!! ❤️❤️❤️
As for Rest: it’s probably my favorite comforter I have ever had, so far. It cools me off really quickly, but I don’t get cold sleeping with it. My husband has had less night sweats (probably thanks to the machine + better sheets). It’s buttery smooth and I really like the way it feels on my skin, so much so, that while it rest on me over a thin sheet, I end up kicking the sheet off in my sleep so I’m sleeping with just the comforter. I’ve washed it a few times following the directions, no issues with it so far. I do have to tuck it into the bed at the end, because we both move around a ton in our sleep and because it’s so smooth, it can fall off. But tucking it in has helped keep it in place and I have no issues there.
As for Brooklinen sheets: they’re great! They still kind of sound a little papery, but they’re very thin and easy to launder. I have 2 sets and I’m quite happy with them.
Anxiety around sleeping is now gone :)
I’m looking for a thin filled comforter not a duvet insert. I don’t want any hoops. As close to All organic materials as I can get (outside and fill). Preferably bamboo but not opposed to other organic materials as long as it’s cooling. Solid gray color preferably dark gray. I don’t mind stitching patterns but would prefer if it isn’t a busy stitching design. My budget is around $100 no more than $200.
I’ve been trying to find one myself but they either are not gray, duvet inserts, or used polyester.
Thanks in advance for your assistance
I purchased the Rest cooling sheets about a year ago and I kind of love them. They are super soft and I do feel like they stay cool throughout the night.
What I DON’T love is the things are so dang slippery I end up having to get out of bed multiple times during the night to pull everything back onto the bed— all my covers slip off either the side or the bottom of the bed.
Has anyone figured out how to keep the sheets ON the bed throughout the night?
Someone gave me a beautiful and extremely fluffy down duvet before the winter began this year and I’ve become spoiled by its pillowy, cloud-like feeling. But as the days get warmer, it’s beginning to get uncomfortably hot at night. Is it possible to find a thick and fluffy summer duvet that will stay somewhat cool? I did some light research at the mall but all the cool duvets I found were disappointingly flat. If you have any tips for me, I’d appreciate them!
I have always slept hot, and now I'm at that certain age in a woman's life ....
I've tried "cooling" mattress pads and those always get hot. I've not tried cooling sheets yet because I don't use a flat sheet. I'd love to save on the A/C bill this summer if anyone has had any success with a lightweight cooling comforter.
I'm looking into getting a new comforter now that it's getting warmer and my partner is struggling with overheating at night. In my research I'm seeing article after article recommending the same trending companies that charge $300+ for a comforter that would also require a separate duvet comforter. I'm not opposed to spending a good amount of money if it's a product that will work and last a long time, but I also don't want to essentially throw the money away on a product that's no better than a regular comforter.
Has anyone purchased a comforter for this purpose that they really like? And can anyone actually recommend some of the more trendy brands that seem to invest heavily in marketing and likely pay to end up on all of these lists?
How would you read the advertisement at the top of the page ? I thought it meant you spend 399 and you get the free pillowcases AND the free flat sheet but apparently not, it’s either or. Ended up cancelling my order because I thought this was really shady and misleading advertisement.
Just purchased a cooling comforter from Rest off of amazon. It has to be the most comfortable material I've ever felt. Problem is my wife thinks it's too light and wants a comforter with more weight to it. Does anyone know of a comforter with the same smooth feel as the Rest one that weighs more?
I am a HOT sleeper. Constantly waking up sweating and trying to find solutions. Does anyone have experience with the Rest sheets? I recently bought a hybrid mattress and this thing gets brutally hot. Don’t want to throw down another $1500 on a new mattress right after buying one but I’d also be open to mattress ideas under $1k. Love the feel of the memory foam it’s just so damn hot I’m having to move to a different spot every hour all night.
