I would focus more on cuisines which are not commonly found outside of the Netherlands (besides the origin country). So add some Surinam and Indonesian food to the list. If you go for the famous stroopwafel buy them on a regular street market. A big one should ben 3 euro max. Also a herring is mandatory ofc. We probably have some ok/good hamburgers but these days every major city has those. More on reddit.com

Honestly, if you like meat, go to Loetje. Try the Biefstuk Bali, take the white bread to dip. Eat the salat and order the fries with mayo. You won’t want to go there more often than you would McDonalds, as it is simply just a high end McDonalds, but it is very nice to eat there once in a while. Another place I really love is Cannibal Royal. Best meat in all of Amsterdam. And those side dishes. Could go there any and every day if I had the time to spare. More on reddit.com
