Rev-A-Shelf: What are some must-haves? Anything you regret getting?
Drawer organization
Videos
We are rebuilding our home due to a fire and are in the middle of designing our new kitchen. What are some Kitchen Rev-A-Shelf items we should/should not consider getting?
I don't have proper photos of the new design at the moment but the layout will be top and bottom cabinets along the wall in an "L" shape and a long rectangle island. Will also have a small beverage center separate from the main "L" cabinets.
Some things we are considering are:
- 2-tier shelf pull out in bottom cabinet for pots/pans
- Pull out spice rack
- Pull out similar to spice rack but with "cups" to hold utensils, e.g. spatulas, whisk, large wooden spoons.
- Kitchen-Aid mixer pull out? This seems to take up a lot of space for a single item and not sure how much we'd actually use it
Other Kitchen accessories we are considering:
- Pot filler
- Glass Rinser
Edit: Also open to other kitchen suggestions as well we should think of
I am getting down to finalizing my kitchen design. No designer, so it been a lot of work. I need to determine what types of cabinets I want in which location. Couple of questions.... when designating a silverware drawer, should I have the dividers built into the drawer, or should I purchase the insert, and should it be adjustable? I want a knife block. Any opinions on the two-tier drawers, so the knives can go below? Or other utensils? I do have a utensil pullout, next to the stove. Silverware will go in the island, it is the predominant prep area.
Tupperware. I have a lot, and many don't fit onto one another, many do. I have seen a lot of Tupperware drawers for organizing the items and tops. My builder said a lot of people don't like them. I cant imagine that. My Tupperware cabinet is the messiest spot in my kitchen! How does everyone organize this? Also, would love to hear any other suggestions for ideal cabinet must-haves.
...... so for everyone who told me that I should go see someone or think I was nuts not to, I truly THANK YOU! while they did tell me I was very prepared and organized, they really did provide a lot of insight and suggestions that really put things together, things I never would have come up with, and in minutes vs months. We are meeting again to finish up! I am also getting rid of most of my mismatched Tupperware. I love the sistema brand. Any other recommendations? Thanks everyone for all the insight.
