January 19, 2023 - The most annoying part of drawer slides is how much force it takes to pull out the drawer. I bought 3 different brands of side mounted drawer slides, Lontan, VADANIA and Richelieu. The lontan was the easiest to pull open, followed closely by vadania. Richelieu was too hard to open.

Double check the slide's drawer side to cabinet side clearance requirement. Check to make sure you haven't damaged the slides and try lubricating them as it doesn't take much tightness for them not to slide in.

The drawers are extremely hard to open AND close. The drawers I have seen and tested with these options were extremely easy to open and I can just give it a slight push and they would close on it's own.

April 22, 2019 - Anything Richelieu is most likely going to be offshore. And - any side mount drawer slide with soft close is garbage, regardless of brand. If you want soft close you need to start at undermount.
