Thanks! I've been interested in testing out Rider, but I don't know if I'll get to use it enough during the trial period, so this will be a great way for me to figure out if I prefer it to VS :) More on reddit.com

Since Rider is mostly for .NET stuff so they may need to deal with .NET stuff before they can port the native version to M1. Note that Unity still hasn’t support M1 natively so I don’t expect Rider to support M1 so quickly

If you can't afford Rider or don't want to pay for it because of.. reasons, you can use it free of charge as long as you join the Early Access Program and/or use the nightly builds.
