Usually you can trigger them with, anytime you right click, press Alt(left) on keyboard. Usually it'll show all letters, or should show.
However, this is action you get by using Right Mouse Button on keyboard (https://community.adobe.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/223779i292EAFC4C79BCD4B?v=v2) ...image will clarify

This menu will appear if you use the "keyboard right click" button (somewhere between right-alt and right-ctrl on most keyboards). In some contexts, holding down "Alt" will also cause the letter annotations to appear.
As you've surmised, the purpose is to allow you to select the menu items with a keypress rather than using the mouse.
The related name for this is "Underline access keys", which still exists in Windows 11, and underlines the access key in the legacy context menu:

At the time of writing there does not appear to be a way to set this on for the new context menu. So if you're used to doing "right-click, w, f" for "new folder" or "w, t" for new text file, you're stuck.
Until Windows 10, I used to do this a lot.
Right click in a folder (in explorer), w (for new), followed by a key for what I needed
-
f (folder)
-
t (text file)
-
m (repeated for the specific office document I needed)
Windows 11 has broken my workflow. Now after a right click, the keyboard shortcuts don't work at all. I could hit the "right click" key on the keyboard (not convenient), but w by itself doesn't work. I have to do w then 1. Even then, it can create a new folder (f), but not text files or office documents. I hate it.
Any way I could recreate my old workflow in Windows 11?
Hi, I have been using my 16ACH6 for about 2 years now and it is so damn perfect I am in love with it.
The only drawback I had was the lack of a right click key on the keypad, which was not a huge deal when I bought the PC as I did not use it for heavy work. But now, I am back to using excel a lot for work and wanted to know if any of you know of a way to fill the missing right click key.
Shift+F10 works, but it is really not ideal as it requires the right hand to be repositioned from the arrow key area.
I know it is a niche requirement, but if any of you awesome folks have a solution and care to share it, I will be most thankful.
Hi all, I’ve been given a Windows 10 Pro laptop with work, for years I have used macs and a Wacom tablet and have used the ctrl+click to right click. Is there an option to have this shortcut in windows? Seems I can only do shift+f10 and that’s just not practical. Can I adapt the inputs at all to use Ctrl+click on windows?
Keep Shift key pressed while Right click and you should get old context menu.
Hello Roger,
If you like, you can use the method in the tutorial below to no longer have to click/tap on Show more options or press Shift+F10 to see the full context menu like in Windows 10.
