First time coming to Denver and I need recommendations to fill my time! I’m usually a very go with the flow traveller, but aside from the mountains I have no knowledge of what the city of Denver has to offer. I’ll be in Denver March 8 - March 18 and working remotely some days. The first half of the trip I will be solo (30something female if relevant) with friends joining later on. Looking for restaurant, coffee shops good for remote working, and bar recommendations ideally in/near RiNo. I won’t have a car so anywhere walkable (from nyc ~30min walk is fine assuming there are sidewalks..?). I have no problem going to eat/having a drink or two solo. I’m also open to any and all ethnic food — just want it to be delicious. :) Mix of budget friendly and splurge options would be great!
Definitely willing to leave RiNo if anyone has additional recs for great museums or unique Denver attractions! …. and I know I’m missing out but I wouldn’t do any hikes solo, sooo unless there are hiking groups (for beginners) don’t bother recommending any.… lol.
Lastly, my friends are coming the 14th we plan to do Breckenridge Sat/sun and be in Denver for St. Patrick’s Day. If there’s any exciting things happening in the city for SPD please share!
If this sparks any additional tips or recs for a Denver newbie feel free to share. Appreciate it!!

Hi all, we currently live in Lakewood area and are considering make the move to RiNo. Has anyone lived at Camden RiNo and have any good or bad input?
We think it’s the best building for what we are willing to spend, but of course nothing beats personal experience.
TIA!
Hello All! I booked myself a trip to Denver to use up some points, as well as check out the city, maybe make a friend. Trying to keep it on foot from my hotel on Walnut, but willing to put in a little extra effort for anything truly unique or exceptional. I'm a cicerone and enjoy a solid pint, but wanted to treat myself to one really impeccable meal.
Friends, where am I going? And is Karaoke a thing here like it is in PDX?
Thank you in advance for all your wonderful suggestions!
Hey ya’ll! My wife and I are coming to Denver for our 10year anniversary. We love breakfast/coffee and great food in general! We are staying 4 days and she is feeling a bit overwhelmed with choices. What are some of the MUST GO TO places for us around the RiNo district? Also…are there any restaurants that have infused” items of the THC kind?
Hello! With rents being a bit lower / all the specials - I’m lucky to be in a place where I can swing somewhere in RiNo or Lohi / closer to the city. I toured two complexes that I liked and now I’m torn on location. I’m not big partier / drinker, have a good amount of friends scattered around the Denver metro, annnd currently I’m in the suburbs and it’s lonely! I’d like to be in the city for more community / around more people, but also be able to retreat to my apartment and rest when I need it haha. I think I’ll be fine at either location, and curious if anyone has insight on which one might be a better fit since I haven’t lived in either before!
Hi All!
I'm moving to Denver in Jan 2026 and from both my own research, talking to acquaintances that live in the Denver area, and even one broker - I'm getting seriously different opinions on the "best place" to live in the Highlands area.
I've heard from most people that RiNo is a little bit more catered towards the younger 20s crowd and that LoDo is more of a clubbing scene and can be pretty loud. But then others have said that RiNo also has a good crowd of "young professionals in their 30s" so I'm a bit confused there and would love to get some thoughts.
Additionally, LoDo and Sunnyside kinda seems like the best of both worlds?
My understanding is that Sunnyside and some of LoDo are more about houses and townhouse rentals vs the other areas mentioned, which seem to have more apartments. We're open to either but are looking for a 2-bedroom, 1,100 sq ft or more.
A bit more info on what I'm looking for: My husband and I (both 29) are newly married (no kids and don't plan on it for a bit), both from the east coast and have been living in the NYC area for the past decade. We're looking for more access to the outdoors, more living space and just a lower cost of living so Denver was one of the first places to come to mind when we decided we wanted to change things up. Through my research, yes, I will agree that Denver isn't cheap but securing a "luxury" 2-bedroom apartment for $3000 or less is unheard of in Manhattan so we're excited about the oppertunity to do that in Denver.
We enjoy skiing and hiking but also want to live in an area/city that has a bit of a buzz to it (which is why we crossed Salt Lake off the list, tbh) so we can enjoy nearby restaurants, breweries, etc. We know that Denver won't compare to NYC in that way (respectfully!) but we're trying to get a better understanding of the best neighborhood to live in for year 1!
One last note: I've also heard great things about the Berkley/Tennyson, Washinging Park area but feel like it may be better to be closer to downtown for the first year? Any other spots you think we'd like?
Looking for quality take out in the RiNo area or on the way to Red Rocks before a show. Something quick and easy but quality.
I see a lot of people in Denver talking about not feeling safe. I have even seen people in my neighborhood move out of the city because they don't feel safe. What's your opinion? What would it take to change things or what can you do to feel more safe?
Hey all,
I'm fairly new to CO. I moved here to be with my now-fiance about a year ago.
My bachelor weekend is coming up in August. Anyone have any favorite places to go RiNo for a bachelor weekend? Most of my party will be from out of state.
Most of us are not golfers, but we are beer-enjoyers and show-enjoyers. Any fun live shows or beer/building tours we should look for?
Thanks all.
Hello. Traveling to Denver in a few months and staying in the RiNo area. We would like to go out for a nice dinner one night. Any suggestions for a good spot? Willing to splurge a little.
Tomorrow I want to hit up Chuladad for a breakfast burrito and AJ’s BBQ foe lunch but tonight I just want to walk to someone where good. Are there any restaurant recommendations?
As a NY'er we love to walk a lot. I find that's the best way to actually see a place. We're staying at the Oxford, will have a car and have a reservation at Hop Alley. Would it be safe walking there at night? We have relatively early reservations so we'll probably be walking around 8-9P.
